SUSHI HIROKO PHÚ QUỐC — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

Sushi Hiroko Phú Quốc offers a pleasant Japanese-style atmosphere, but some dishes didn’t quite meet expectations. The portions were rather small, and the egg in my udon was cold — something I’ve never experienced before in any Japanese restaurant. The sushi was okay, though the rice texture and flavor were quite different from what I’ve tried elsewhere, possibly due to a different preparation method. The seafood didn’t seem very fresh, and the udon sauce tasted slightly artificial.

About 40 minutes after my visit, I experienced a stomach issue, which makes me believe that some of the ingredients might not have been completely fresh. I eat the same breakfast daily at my hotel and try different restaurants for lunch, so this reaction was unusual for me. Overall, it’s an okay place to try once, but I wouldn’t rate it higher...

The food is excellent, the service is good, the atmosphere is great and the prices are relatively cheap. However, the portion sizes are shocking. The portions are extremely small! We were shocked by the size of each of the dishes even when we ordered something very basic like edamame, which was also really small... Usually I am full from 2 rolls and this time 2 rolls + miso soup + edamame + salmon sashimi + tastings of my partner's rolls barely managed to satisfy my hunger....
