After much rave about this restaurant from regulars on social media, I decided to check it out while I was in the area. It's right opposite central mall so the little walk back and forth was interesting.
Entering the establishment, I noticed a large number of people(all there for different reasons) it was a hard to find a seat. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but my main aim was to sit indoors.
The restaurant was clean, probably one of the neatest places I've ever been to. The staff made sure that things were put in order whether the tables had guests or not, the surroundings and their facilities were equally kept neat. Not sure what scent they had put around their restaurant but It made a huge difference to just sit and breathe in fresh air.
My starters were the main star of the show, the piri piri prawns and the mussel pot were so good they could have been great as main dishes. The main course which was Thai crayfish curry was underwhelming and bland, I expected more flavour for something that is said to be filled with different spices but to be honest it could have just been a normal dish made from home. My dessert was the salted caramel baked cheesecake, it was sweet, something most "sweet tooths" might enjoy. The drinks were honestly okay, not much to it.
The service was a bit lousy, I got there and had 4 different people serving me. There was either delay with getting my orders and me having to remind the next waiter what I already ordered with the previous waiter. If they could work on that bit, that...

My experience at Siesta by mint was nothing short of a nightmare. The visit started off badly with the restaurant's timings being completely misrepresented. Despite what was listed on Google, the staff informed us that the timings were different and claimed the online information was outdated. To make matters worse, there were no timings displayed anywhere in the restaurant, leaving customers confused and inconvenienced.
The staff seemed to manipulate the operating hours to suit their convenience, creating a chaotic and unwelcoming atmosphere. When we brought this up with the manager, he was incredibly argumentative and rude. His demeanor was far from professional, and he was not at all soft-spoken or considerate towards customers.
Adding to the unpleasant experience was the manager’s appearance. There was no dress code, and his attire was completely inappropriate for someone in a managerial position, making him look more like a "stud" than a professional. His behavior and appearance were not suitable for the job at all.
The food, much like the service, was disappointing and did not make up for the overall terrible experience. I would not recommend Siesta to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. Save your time and money and go somewhere where customers are respected and...
Read moreTerrible Experience - Rude and Discriminatory Service
I recently visited SIesta by Mint, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, the staff exhibited an unwelcoming and condescending attitude. It was clear they had no interest in providing good service or making us feel valued as customers.
The host barely acknowledged us and seemed irritated by our presence. Once seated, our server was incredibly rude and dismissive. Any questions about the menu were met with impatience, and it felt like we were being an inconvenience.
To make matters worse, it was evident that the staff treated different customers with varying levels of respect. There was a noticeable disparity in how they interacted with us compared to other patrons, which felt blatantly discriminatory. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The food was mediocre at best and certainly didn't make up for the terrible service. Overall, I would strongly advise against dining at SIesta. There are plenty of other establishments where you can enjoy a meal without dealing with such negativity and...
