St Elmo's — Restaurant in Harare

My family and I came to try this location and I must say we were very impressed. We have young kids and they had a blast. There was a clown on site providing balloons to the kids at no charge and was selling glow swords at $5. The kids loved it. There were so many kids to play with and a great play structure. The adults were able to sit and talk and enjoy the break. There was also a room with a computer for computer games. So you could tell they try to accomdate all ages. As for the food i was truly impressed. We had a double burger, Hawaiian pizza, Cosmopolitan pizza, and a 1/4chicken and fries. The seasoning was great on the chicken - not just bbq sauce and not dry. The burger was also flavorful and moist. Only critic is that they need to find a bun that can hold the meat and sauce better as it becomes very soggy and falls apart. But beside that the pizza was tasty. The Cosmopolitan pizza was a recommendation by the waiter but it was not our favorite. A little on the sweet side. This St Elmo's branch is very kid friendly with play areas to keep the little ones entertained while adults enjoy a meal. I prefer St Elmos in Belgravia to the one in Borrowdale because it has more space you can choose to sit in the restaurant or outside while you watch your kids play. The staff in Belgravia is consistent in their warm hospitality whereas in Borrowdale the staff seem to buckle under pressure when the restaurant is busy such that your waitron never has time to check if are still ok or need something else.

So if you are like me and prefer proper hospitality then St Elmos Belgravia would be the place to go. Food is relatively nice depending on what you order. Although they seem to be famous for their pizza I unfortunately don't find their pizza nice.. i love their ...
