The Cake House — Restaurant in Harare

It's one of the go to places if you're looking for baking ingredients, equipment and accessories. The place is so popular there's almost always a long queue. I didn't have to wait long in the queue though when I went there because they separate queues for women and men. The women's queue is usually 5 or so times longer than the men's queue. Though the women's queue has thrice the attendants serving it, it never seems to get shorter. I was told they separated the queues because women take longer to make up their minds on what they want to buy. Men come or are send with a list of items they need and don't spend time trying to make up their minds. They thus quickly finish their business in a couple of minutes. Prices are fair for most goods but the service is terrible. I was in a 2 hour queue the other day and there is only one person handling all cash payments. There is also no preordering service which would greatly solve the queue problem in these corona times. The prints are also very time consuming. If they create a preodering service online, it will make it one of the best cake...

Great place for all your baking supplies, Andrew and his printing team are the best however the ques do take long, I think a pre order and prepayment arrangement should be in place for some of us who cant set aside 30 or more...
