Barcelos — Restaurant in Harare

Very disappointed, would not recommend at all. The only good thing about this Barcelos was the waiter who was very patient.

1. Location: it's right by the service station and there's barely any parking. You might need the pay for it on the city parking bays.

2. Dirty: the tables and seats were very dirty when we arrived, in fact, a cockroach even rushed by. But again, the waiter patiently cleaned the space for us.

3. Food: It was cold, and not up to the usual Barcelos standard I've seen at their branches in South Africa.

i) Lettuce in salad was frozen (yes, frozen with some tomatoes tossed on top) ii) Chicken was tough, almost boiled, whilst the couple at the next table had to ask for theirs to be redone as it was raw. iii) Chips were awful, found a long hair in them too.

Overall, we had a terrible experience here and will not go back. Perhaps it was just a bad day for them, not a...

So ..I've always been a huge barcelos fan...despite their relatively higher priced items on their menu compared to other fast food service providers ... So anyway because of covid restrictions there hasn't been any sit ins and today I decided to treat my son to some traditional barcelos chicken and chips.. To my surprise after I requested for vinegar and their legendary sauces, but to my astonishment I was handed a bottle of Tyler's vinegar and was told they had no sauces in stock completely... My question is can barcelos as an establishment not afford vinegar satchets to give...

Honestly the service was quite bad for me yet the restaurant wasn’t even that busy, we ordered milkshakes with my sister and they tasted off, we complained and the waiter blatantly told us to just mix the milkshake a bit and it will be fine, she then later came back after we complained to another waiter and confessed that the icecream they had used was the problem yet she still didn’t change the milkshakes for us even though the glasses were still full, not only that but the service was very slow and poor for a restaurant that was...
