you HAVE to visit the Paris of the Americas! 👇 📍 Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 I won’t lie, I severely underestimated Buenos Aires 📝 of course I wanted to visit eventually! But honestly? it wasn’t super high on my list 🤯 we had a few days in Buenos Aires before going to Antarctica and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY 🤩 if I had realized what BA was like I guarantee you I would’ve had it higher on my list! ❤️ Buenos Aires has some of the most stunning architecture, an incredibly strong and proud culture, and DELICIOUS food (aka copious empanadas) I’ll do more comprehensive posts on what to do, but a few musts: 🥟 empanadas at El Hornero de San Telmo 💃 tango show at El Querandi 🌆 walking tour through the City center 🪦 morning visit to Recoleta Cemetery Save this post for future reference! #buenosaires #paris #buenosairescity #argentina #travelargentina #visitargentina #argentinatrip #argentina🇦🇷

#mundukos #traveler #travelblog #visitargentina

Every time I come back to Buenos Aires, I fall in love with it a little bit more. Here it’s a short guide to Buenos Aires - 👉 save it for your visit!! 📍Where to Stay in Buenos Aires I 100% recommend staying in Palermo. Both Palermo SoHo and Palermo Hollywood are lively neighborhoods full of trendy bars, boutique shops, and hipster cafes. It’s also one of the safest areas in the city. 👉 Places To Visit in Buenos Aires I will do some other posts entering more in detail but this is a list of my favorite places. 🔸La Boca: Explore colorful Caminito Street and catch a tango show in this vibrant neighborhood. 🔸Recoleta Cemetery: Visit the resting place of Eva Perón and other famous Argentinians, amidst stunning mausoleums. 🔸Teatro Colón: Marvel at one of the world’s most beautiful opera houses, known for its exceptional acoustics. 🔸Puerto Madero: Stroll along the waterfront, dine in upscale restaurants, and visit the iconic Puente de la Mujer. 🔸San Telmo: Wander through cobbled streets, have empanadas at the San Telmo Market, and experience the city’s oldest neighborhood. 🔸Plaza de Mayo: See the historic Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, and other landmarks surrounding this central square. 🔸El Ateneo Grand Splendid: Shop for books in one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores, housed in a converted theater. ⌛️Best Time To Visit Buenos Aires The best time to visit Buenos Aires is during the spring (September to November) or fall (March to May). These months offer mild temperatures, beautiful blooming or changing foliage, and fewer crowds. However, I’d say you can visit the city at any time! The weather is not too harsh in any season. #buenosaires #argentina🇦🇷 #argentina #buenosairesargentina #parisofsouthamerica

Recoleta Cemetery is one of the most fascinating and historically rich sites in Buenos Aires, offering a truly unique experience. More than just a resting place, it feels like an open-air museum, with its stunning architecture, intricate sculptures, and elaborate mausoleums that tell the stories of Argentina’s most prominent figures. Walking through the narrow pathways feels like stepping back in time, as each tomb has its own distinctive design, ranging from grand and ornate to simple yet elegant. One of the most visited sites within the cemetery is the tomb of Eva Perón (Evita), a significant figure in Argentine history. However, beyond Evita, there are countless other notable figures buried here, including former presidents, military leaders, writers, and artists, making it a place of deep national importance. The attention to detail in the mausoleums, many of which are adorned with statues, stained glass, and intricate carvings, is truly remarkable. The cemetery is well-maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere adds to the overall experience. While it is possible to explore on your own, a guided tour is highly recommended to fully appreciate the history and stories behind the most significant tombs. Without guidance, it’s easy to miss some of the most interesting details, as many mausoleums have fascinating histories attached to them. For anyone visiting Buenos Aires, Recoleta Cemetery is an absolute must-see. Whether you are drawn by its historical significance, its architectural beauty, or its mysterious and almost eerie charm, this place leaves a lasting impression. It’s a reminder of Argentina’s rich past and the legacy of those who shaped its history.

Our visit to Recoleta Cemetery was, without a doubt, a highlight of our trip. The cemetery itself is a breathtakingly beautiful and historic place, filled with intricate mausoleums and fascinating stories. What truly elevated our experience was the guided tour led by Pablo, who was highly professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and significance of the cemetery. The guided tour, which was included in the price of admission, added immense value. Pablo’s storytelling brought the cemetery to life, helping us appreciate the rich history, cultural significance, and even some hidden details we would have missed on our own. His professionalism and enthusiasm made the tour both engaging and educational. It’s worth noting that the guided tours are not well-promoted on the official website, so it’s easy to miss this fantastic opportunity. However, they do take place at least at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, so plan your visit accordingly to make the most of your time there. Overall, Recoleta Cemetery is an absolute must-visit, and we highly recommend taking advantage of the guided tour to truly appreciate its unique charm and history.
