called the MacStore and explained the issue with iPhone 8 camera prior to visit. Over the phone, I was advised that (sounded confidently) I have to replace a camera for $100 and they have a computer to identify the root cause failure (hardware or software). I stopped by the store and left my phone for troubleshooting. An hour later I called and they told me that the brand new camera part did not fix the issue, and apparently, they didn't use a computer to test it??!?!? Then, they said it's likely to be software or board problem. (I had to pay them $50 which is understandable as it was for diagnostic fee.) But, there was a piece of dust or hair inside of the camera. I went back and asked them to remove it. I waited for 45 minutes to have my phone back. There was a mark on the edge of the screen where they might have pry-opened screen. I got tired of waiting for nothing and it is inexpensive iPhone 8 device so I just let it go and will not go back there again.

Apple stores were closed during the pandemic. I had issues with my brand new Apple Watch. Apple care assured me this 3rd party would be fast, and responsive. I was tickled to have my watch looked at. It was in a locked like sleep mode. No one had ever seen this issue. Dropped in and gave them my watch. The new guy there was learning so was trying to be patient and understanding.

The big boss came to assist. Showed him the ropes and let me know they couldn’t do anything in person. It would be needed to sent to Sacramento. 2 weeks later I call and ask the status and I’m told they have been calling me since and listed me the wrong number. Needless to say that was strike one. No apology given. Then I’m told I need to be in person to Trouble-shoot. This is a new person a female. I let her know to check the stores notes, we tried to everything we could. She sends it to Sacramento 2 weeks later then estimated.

I’m called back from this same female employee to pick up my watch. I’m excited! I get there and wait 20 mins for my turn at the register. She starts with. “ They only had it for 2 days. So I don’t think they did anything to it. Has a note on it saying. “ couldn't recreate issue “”

I basically let her know that’s frustrating. They had plenty of notes. They could see it was not paired and in a locked status. She agreed and blamed it on Apple. Told me another customer has done this 5 times.

They should have given me aheads up that it wasn’t fixed, and not to waste my time coming here.

She proceeds to be rude, and defensive and tells me “ I’m lovely to deal with”

If you want to be disrespected, and your time wasted. Feel free to pick this establishment. I will NEVER use this place again. So unprofessional on so...

I am only giving this business a second star as the only nice thing was the front desk lady who took my laptop back twice. I came in for a repair under AppleCare, cool. They had to take my laptop overnight to diagnose the problem & pricing with Apple, cool. I get a call back the next day and say they can order the part and have it ready overnight, cool. Day two I get a call saying the part is causing my trackpad to heat, need to order a part that is not faulty, cool. Call day three, say that they are still working on part will have to wait until Monday, cool.

Next week, I go and I get my laptop on a Thursday. Run home to turn it on, it looks amazing! It's like I never had an accident with it. I went to turn on my study music only to realize the sound doesn't work. I went back, they apologized and stated that the soundboard was broken, ok. They explained they can order a new one for me. Today is two days shy of them having my computer on/off with problems. I drop it back off today for them to switch the soundboard, they said they will call me back in one hour, cool. I get a call back one and a half hours saying the computer if fixed, cool.

I go back to pick it up and was explained it's all fixed. I run back home to watch a video lecture to see that my right side of my speaker has 100% sound output, whereas my right side only has about 25% sound output. This issue is not fixed, after being reassured that it is.

I am not impressed with the quality of the repair. Customer service is decent though. I'm bummed I spent $100 on this repair. I will be getting in touch with Apple to see if there's any...

Called apple for an assist as I just got the new iPhone pro max 15 and was given a number of anchorage options. Chose the Mac store to get some hands on assistance transferring from my pro max 11. Drove across town for appointment. Stated what I felt I needed help with and was told by the woman at the counter ‘you can do that by just putting your phones next to ea other’. Well what about the new features? ‘There are videos.’ So I go home feeling like I was somewhat of a dummy and wasting her time. Well guess what? iPhone 15 ships with iOS 17.1.1. If you have updated to 17.1.2 - there is no transfer (from iPhone or iCloud backup if you’ve updated phone and backup to 17.1.2). So how do you get into settings to update a new iphone to 17.1.2 when that phone has not been set up and you can’t get to settings to download and install the update that will allow you to use phone or back up??? NOT AN INTUITIVE PROCESS. Took me almost an hour on the phone with an apple tech. And she definitely worked for her money. Would not give this store any business.

Per your response that I didn’t want to pay??? No one asked if I wanted to pay or not. I assumed I would probably have to pay and was willing to do so. Payment was...
