Unnic: A Culinary Adventure Inside Noah's Ark
Nestled within a casino in Andorra lies an extraordinary dining destination that transcends the ordinary. Unnic restaurant is a masterpiece of design and gastronomy that transforms a meal into an immersive journey through a contemporary interpretation of Noah's Ark.
Atmospheric Design
The local Andorran architect behind Unnic has created a space that captivates from the moment you enter. The ceiling comes alive with artistic abstract figures of birds in flight, while the walls are adorned with an intricate tapestry of wood in varying colors, shapes, and sizes, creating an abstract forest that surrounds diners. This arboreal theme extends throughout the space, complemented by ethereal clouds that enhance the dreamlike atmosphere.
Unique Dining Spaces
What sets Unnic apart is its innovative seating concept. Diners are invited to enjoy their meals in intimate "cage" settings, each thoughtfully designed to create private dining spaces while maintaining the theatrical atmosphere. The attention to detail is remarkable – the cage backings are crafted from textured fabrics that recreate the sensation of animal coats to the touch. For those seeking an even more distinctive experience, there's the option to dine within a specially designed bird cage setting, further emphasizing the Noah's Ark concept.
Culinary Excellence
Under the guidance of Chef Burton, the cuisine at Unnic rises to match its exceptional setting. Each dish showcases an impressive commitment to freshness and flavor, with preparations that can only be described as spectacular. The chef's personal touch extends beyond the kitchen – he makes it a point to visit tables and engage with diners, demonstrating a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction that elevates the entire experience.
Atmosphere and Clientele
The restaurant attracts a refined crowd, creating an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere that complements the sophisticated surroundings. The combination of outstanding service, remarkable design, and exceptional cuisine creates an environment where memorable evenings unfold naturally.

Read moreMost probably I would give the 5 stars for the ambience and food. But. When you make a reservation no one tells you that you have to bring an ID. No matter you are doing it via website or by phone. In Andorra, basically, as far as know, nowhere in the world there is a rule that you have to bring your ID for visiting a restaurant/bar/cafe. The place we reserved , as we figured out later, was on the second floor and basically integrated as a part of the casino. But again, no one tells you this. So, if you never have been in the casino before, you don’t know where exactly the place is. I don’t even mention that people are not born with a knowledge of the casino’s rules. So, when you enter to the building and see elevators you naturally think that you should go to the floor you need. But no, you must show an ID because you have to go through the casino. It is ridiculous and obviously ruined my mood, especially since it was Women’s Day we came to have a girls night out there. A photo in my phone of the documents wasn’t accepted either. Though if it is only about age, I would love to look under 18, but I am far from that. The staff called the manager or the boss, or whoever and she said no. I am not even mentioning that my nationality was brought up, which made me wonder that if I were an Andorran it would be different ? Such attitude is a great way to make people never come back. Not a great attitude in a such small country as Andorra. Luckily I live close, but I had to lose a lot of time anyway. And if someone would come from el Tarter or Pas de La Casa? A total lack of respect to people by not explaining the rules before/during the reservation.
So, don’t go there without ID. Or don’t go at all if you don’t want to get a feeling that you are entering to...
Read moreWe had a fabulous Friday lunch here last week. Quite a glitzy vibe. The bar and restaurant is up on the sixth floor; great views across the city towards the park in Andorra. The food was all exquisite; we had starters which we shared Tapas style. The croquettes were wonderful. The avocado salad was just delicious. With roasted avocado. For our main course, four of us shared two beautifully prepared fish, a John dory and a scorpion fish. It was all really good. With a drink at the bar first, +3 bottles of reasonably priced house, wine (Approx €30 a bottle) it came to €100 per head for a very special and beautifully presented lunch. Staff were all super nice, and most importantly, they were happy to welcome our Jack Russell, who sat quietly and watched the world go by through the large terrace, sliding doors! parking is free for guests and is right underneath the building so it’s all very easy. A good venue to go for a special meal or perhaps if you’re celebrating something. Quite high end for Andorra which is really nice. Definitely would visit again. When...
