Buenos Aires Ecoparque — Attraction in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I knew the former zoo, that had been in the core of Palermo, Botánico, La Rural, and Plaza Italia for decades. New times and laws arrived to protect animals' lives and from the cruelty imposed of being in zoos around the world. We, humans learned about animals' habitat, extinction, and suffering. Lions, tigers, monkeys, reptiles, condors, elephants, plus more of them needed to live adequately and "free" of exhibition. They built in the past beautiful shelters for these "beasts", brilliant architecture, different styles but, great effort and design by the best of the past centuries. Many years later a project was born, thinking about the health of the inhabitants of the zoo that couldn't roar, fly or have better conditions; together the project included the recuperation of the buildings or shelters. Most of the animals were transported to reservations, where they could enjoy their freedom and bring back the history of their genes, some still remain for different reasons. The buildings have been restored beautifully, magnificent recuperation. Perfection to look up and discover details or look down and feel the presence of the inhabitants from the past. Voy a empezar con una descripción en palabras de la experiencia de haber conocido este lugar: decepcionante, triste, horrible, descuidado, da pena. La entrada es gratuita, lo vienen promocionando como un lugar donde se preservan las especies, que está muy bueno, etc, etc. La verdad es que está descuidado, lleno de yuyos, de hecho, hay un mini "mirador" en un lugar que no se ve nada, ya que tiene plantas que no dejan ver nada. Hay zonas donde no se puede entrar, algunas parques de arquitectura rota (como la que está cuando se accede al lugar en medio del agua), algunos carteles con descripciones borroneados, plantas sin cortar y mal cuidadas. Por otra parte, y la más importante: los animales, antes fue un zoológico y muchos animales por suerte ya no están (mi estrella es por eso). Pero los que están, no están en el mejor estado. De hecho, hay una jaula negra con monitos adentro COMO ATRACCIÓN (ya que muchas personas todavía y lamentablemente se divierten con ver animales encerrados, de hecho escuché gente diciendo "mira que lindo los monitos vamos a verlos", mientras se reían) mientras esos pobre monos están en una jaula pequeña negra (habiendo tantos lugares en ese ecoparque que son enormes (que están o cerrados o no se usan) para construirles algo mejor y más grande para que no se estresen). Nos falta mucho evidentemente como sociedad para entender que eso no es divertido. Me acerqué a un hombre que trabaja ahí y le pregunté por los monitos, el hombre no sabía ni dónde estaban ubicados, le pregunté si iban a estar así siempre encerrados en esa jaula pequeña y horrible y me explicó que son animales que no pueden ser reubicados en otro lado (algo que entiendo y ya lo sé), pero nunca me terminó de responder la pregunta y encima me habló hasta como molesto por mi pregunta. Todavía hay elefantes (que prometen en un cartel llevarlos a un santuario,) veremos si al fin los sacan como ya sacaron a otro hace años. Y si van a tener animales sueltos como maras o pavos reales POR FAVOR QUE HAYA ALGUIEN PRESENTE EN EL LUGAR QUE TRABAJE AHÍ CUIDÁNDOLOS, ya que había niños queriendo darles de comer la misma comida que comían ellos y la gente a veces no es respetuosa y los molesta. Por otro lado, la comida que venden adentro es cara. Conclusión, si querían hacer algo lindo y para concientizar háganlo enserio, no a duras penas, para "contentar" con animales encerrados en lugares pequeños como monos, cóndor, etc. Y limpien y cuiden el lugar. Que pérdida de tiempo y como atrasa divertirse viendo animales encerrados, que reitero, entiendo que no puedan ser devueltos a su hábitat, pero ténganlos en buen estado y fuera de esas jaulas del mal, merecen estar bien. Que indignante, no pienso volver, de hecho, no quise ni terminar de recorrerlo porque el lugar estaba lleno de gente y todo el lugar es horrible. Podrían hacer un paquete enserio. 0...
