Grange Beach has a picturesque jetty and calm clear waters, making it the perfect spot for families to go fishing and swimming. Another great thing about Grange Beach is that you can get there easily by train from central Adelaide, with the station being just two blocks away from the palm trees and Norfolk Island pines that line the beach. The Grange Jetty was built in 1879 and stretches 300 metres (985 feet) out to sea. Stroll along this iconic wooden jetty that is still going strong after a major renovation in 2014. Take in the sweeping views and chat with the local fishermen. Have a look in the shallow water beneath the jetty to see the crabs scurry sideways along the wooden pilings. Head down the long stretch of soft sand that is Grange Beach and jump in the water for a swim. The volunteers of the Grange Surf Life Saving Club just to the north of the jetty, patrol the beach during the summer months. The calm and shallow waters of this beach make it ideal for kids, who can splash around in the ocean and build sandcastle for hours on end

Grange Beach is my absolute favourite little escape in Adelaide! It has such a calm, family-friendly vibe, unlike some of the busier city beaches. The sand is soft, the water is incredibly clear and usually so calm – it's perfect for a peaceful swim or just floating around on a hot day. I love walking along the jetty and watching the fishermen; it's so picturesque. The grassy areas behind the beach are ideal for a picnic or just laying out a towel and reading a book. There are also a couple of lovely cafes right across the road for a coffee or an ice cream. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, forget the time, and just enjoy the simple, beautiful moments by the water.

The beach and the environment were lovely. The toilets are very dirty, old, and unkept. Considering the council rates, homeowners would be paying there is no excuse for the condition of the public toilets. It's not out back Australia where no one goes. Toilets at Glenelg are also in a shameful state. Adelaide is a beautiful place to live and visit. Sadly for visitors going to the toilet 🚻 is disturbing. Hopefully, they will be renovated in the near future. When was the last time someone on the council board used these toilets?
