Say Olá to BORA, the brand new beach-vibes cafe with a Brazilian twist has opened up in a beloved Grange spot (formerly what was the Cooks Pantry)! Close enough and walking distance to the beach and Grange Jetty, but set back enough from beachside to enjoy the casual atmosphere and get to know the locals.
If you’re after an express to go coffee in the mornings, head straight to the RAPIDO window for quick your getaway coffee, juices and smoothies.
I love that it has a coffee and breakfast menu, or brunch then a great extensive lunch menu, but also licensed so in summer time, enjoy some late night Cocktails!
It’s a cafe serving the usuals fresh pastries, 🥐 eggs on toast, smashed avos but with a Brazilian touch like breakfast fish or chicken tacos! I also enjoyed the acai bowl, the Brazilian way paired with the finest coffees
We sampled some delicious food; 🔅Fresh shucked oysters 🔅Tropical Açaí Bowl 🔅crispy granola with Vanilla Pannacotta 🔅Pesto chicken & bacon sandwich 🔅cheese balls 🔅Fish tacos 🔅Chic’n tacos 🔅iced coffee / cappuccino 🔅green smoothie 🔅mango juice
Fabulous food and drinks on offer! Highly recommend, and I will definitely be back to try the rest of menu and cocktail hour (prices from $14!!!) So LETS GO again!
Thanks to David and team at Bora for the hospitality. Thanks Lee for the invite and great...
Read moreCoffees came out quite quickly, however the meals took 30 minutes to come out and it didn’t seem like there were that many people there. Not sure if they also do takeaway and that’s why it took long but regardless was a bit surprised. The chai latte was good and the art on top was nice. It’s not often you get latte art on a chai so that was a nice touch. The bowl that my friend ate wasn’t my taste personally as I tried it, but she really loved it. The burger I got was good, and the gf bread was also good, but the bottom piece was soggy as soon as I received it, which made it really messy to eat as it was kind of floppy and whatnot. Flavour wise was good but because of the sogginess of the bottom bun it was hard to eat. A bit on the pricier side for a brunch but was still nice. Cute little cafe as well. One thing I noticed was that it is only EFTPOS meaning if you’re coming on a short walk and want a coffee you’ll need to bring a card...
Read moreI ordered the mushroom ragu sandwich this is not what I was served I only found out after looking at other reviews on line after leaving and seeing a picture of the mushroom sandwich which someone raved about. I believe I was served the saucey mushrooms. Which came out as described on the menu with two poached eggs. I figured it was being served as an open Faced sandwich but I didn’t question this and ate it. The dish was very salty and I passed this on to the staff before leaving. Had I not found out after the meal that I didn’t get what I ordered I would not have posted this review however, after not enjoying the meal and then finding out I didn’t get what i ordered. I was a bit frustrated. On the up side I do believe I was only charged for the sandwich which is several $ less than the Saucy Mushrooms.
The coffees were good and the staff very friendly. I will try Bore again but my first experience regretfully was less...
