Embarking on my very first camel ride, I was about to undertake a journey that would be etched in my memory forever. The camel's name was Tom, a name that resonated with a certain charm, a name that would soon become synonymous with the enchantment of the experience. As I approached Tom, I couldn't help but notice the warmth in his eyes, a glimmer of curiosity and friendliness that seemed to bridge the gap between our worlds.

Tom, with his dignified presence and swaying gait, was the epitome of grace. He was adorned with rich, earthy tones that blended seamlessly with the golden hues of the desert landscape, as if nature itself had painted this magnificent creature to complement its surroundings. His fur was soft to the touch, and I couldn't resist running my fingers through it, forging an instant connection between us.

As I mounted Tom's back, the bond between us deepened. The height and vantage point Tom provided allowed me to witness the vast, undulating dunes of the desert as they stretched endlessly before me. Each step he took was a rhythmic dance with the sand, a gentle sway that lulled me into a state of tranquility. It was a sensation of harmonizing with the world, as if we were sharing a secret language only we could understand.

What struck me most was Tom's affable nature. Despite being a stranger to him, he exuded a sense of companionship that was both heartwarming and profound. As I ventured into the desert, I realized that the camaraderie extended beyond Tom, as there was no one behind me on this journey. The camel behind us, nameless but equally expressive, seemed to take a special liking to our solitude. With each step, he seemed to offer his own silent approval of our connection, acknowledging that this was a unique experience meant to be cherished.

The way Tom and his companion carried me through the desert was not merely a ride; it was a shared adventure, a bond between a traveler and two extraordinary animals. It was as if we had become explorers of the sands, discovering the desert's mysteries together.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an otherworldly glow across the dunes, I couldn't help but marvel at the serendipity of this encounter. The tranquility of the desert, the majesty of the camels, and the unique connection I had formed with Tom and his nameless companion painted a mesmerizing portrait of nature's wonders and the magic of first experiences.

This camel ride with Tom was not just a journey through the desert; it was a journey into my own heart, a reminder of the beauty of the natural world and the friendships that can bloom in the most unexpected of places. It was a moment of enchantment and a testament to the fact that, in the company of creatures like Tom and his nameless friend, one can truly discover the beauty of solitude and the depth of connection with the...

I purchased two adult sunset camel ride tickets months ago for today and was very much looking forward to the experience... especially after having driven for 5hrs to here for the weekend. I received an email yesterday 16/10/2025 reminding me of my upcoming camel ride today 17/10/2025 and that we needed to be there ready to go 15mins prior to the departure time. We arrived ready to go 20mins prior , we walked down to where the camels where meant to be only to find there were no camels ,and nothing to indicate the camels had been there and were going to be back for our sunset ride, which as I said was paid months ago . There was no one from the business at all in site to inform myself and the other paying customers what was going on, I initially tried to contact Oakfield Ranch Camel Rides on the mobile phone number attached in all the emails including the one I received yesterday but each time I tried it immediately said we are on another call please go to the website or text the mobile number . I then went to the website and sent an email but thought that wasn't good enough I've not only paid $239 for an experience but I've also driven for 5hrs for the weekend to do this with my partner and here we are not a camel in sight , no communication to say there was any issues so I decided to text the mobile number it was then I received a text back informing me that "all rides had been cancelled months ago as they discovered Fair Harbour without their knowledge or approval had opened up bookings and the owners were getting married this weekend and that this weekend had been blocked for months " they said they believe everyone received refunds weeks ago but as I said to the person who replied to my email I have received absolutely nothing at all to communicate anything of the sort and would like my money refunded as I've paid along with at least 4 others who were there waiting for an experience I didn't receive, with NO communication. This is no way to run a business , if it was a known issue then it should have been dealt with and every person who had a booking and PAID should have been contacted to explain the situation and been refunded not leaving it to the day for people like myself to find out our bookings had been cancelled. I've added a few pics of where the camels were meant to...

The staffs at the beach are nice, they were very helpful and I had a nice experience.

but whoever answered my phone call before the ride was extremely rude and probably racist too.

I called the number to check if there’s a long tour, because I heard there’s a sunset tour which is longer Than 20 mins and I wanted to do the sunset tour for ages, me n my partner drove three hours to Anna Bay just for this activity.

the lady on the phone showed her horrible attitude to me and told me there’s not any longer tour, yet when my Australian partner called, she told him there’s an hour sunset tour, yet it’s all booked out, so I called again to see if there’s any chance they can fit in just one more person, she immediately assumed that I’m asking her to cancel the others’ reservations, which was really odd that she had this assumption and tried to argue with me about it, I can sense her hostility through the phone, tho I was being very polite the whole time.

Instead of trying to tell me if there’s any solution for customers who came all the way there for the rides, she used her incredibly rude attitude and racist tone towards me and that really ruined my day, I was so excited about the ride, and I ended up with very bad moody after the phone call with her.

no one should be treated differently just because he or she has different accent, her attitude towards me was completely different from her attitude towards my partner, and we were asking the exact same questions, racism is totally unacceptable.

By the way, for who runs this company, I managed to take some awesome pictures and I was here to promote the area, now I feel uncertain what should I tell me audience about you guys, because I would never want any of my “ Asian “ audiences encounter the unpleasant experience like...
