I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent experience my friends and I had at Anna Bay Tavern.
As locals who regularly support our community businesses, Anna Bay Tavern has been a favorite spot for us. However, during our visit last night, we encountered extremely unpleasant behavior from the bartender, who, to our surprise, turned out to be the manager.
Upon making a comment about the wine prices, our friend was met with rude treatment as the bartender grabbed the wine glass, questioning whether she wanted the wine or not. This unfriendly demeanor persisted throughout the night, leaving us disheartened by the poor service.
To our dismay, we later discovered that the individual responsible for the unpleasant encounter was the manager of Anna Bay Tavern. Such treatment from a manager is truly disappointing and not reflective of the welcoming atmosphere we have come to expect.

Came on holidays for a friend 18th, sat in the FAMILY bistro only to all be asked for ID. only one of is 18, we were not asked to provide ID while booking or told anywhere we needed to have someone over 30 needed to be there with us. Read moreThere is nothing worse than a restaurant that over charges then cuts every corner possible. We paid $84 for 3 schnitzels and cheesy garlic bread. The schnitzels were left in a warmer to cut corners on the prep, they were uneatable and tasteless. The salad was a wilted joke just spinach and cabbage. No salt or pepper used in prep so nothing had flavour. The chips were okay and cheese was nice but the Napoli sauce was from a jar with giant uncooked hunks of raw carrot and celery that looked like it had been prepared by someone with the knife skills of a toddler. The garlic bread was a piece of toast with a vague hint of garlic and a bit of melted cheese for $9! I didn’t pay good money for a dodgy chef that can only melt cheese and operate a deep fryer.
