Run a mileā¦ā¦ā¦.then run some more! Zero stars, not one! Do yourself a favor, and donāt stop!
We travelled from Port Douglas to Sydney and stayed in many holiday parks. This was by far the worst. We booked an en-suite powered site for 2 nights and none of it was working - no electricity and no hot water in the en-suite. The facilities themselves were poorly maintained and very dated. When we reported the issue to reception, they tried to fix it, but didnāt. We used the communal facilities, despite paying for an en-suite, only to find the showers there had no hot water either. Previous reviews have mentioned similar issues. We decided to check-out one day early and asked for our money back for the night we would not be staying - they refused that, and pretty bluntly too! No apologies for lack of services was given. It was expected that we just accept it! Once again, earlier reviews that management are happy to take money and not provide a proper service seem correct. The gaming room is a glorified gambling room for kids - nothing is a game, everything is just a kids slot machine. The playground is dilapidated and only suitable for toddlers. The only benefit to this park is the proximity to the beach, but itās simply not worth it. If I could give zero stars, I would! We left this site and moved one hour south, and found a lovely holiday park with all the facilities / amenities that one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed here for 5 nights with my son who is 6. We arrived the week after Easter. We have just good things to say about the holiday park. The couple who now manage the park is fantastic. They are so service minded and made sure we had a good stay. We spent the first 4 nights in our tent at the powered campsites. It was very convenient located close to the camp kitchen and amenities. The showers and toilets were very clean. There is a clean pool, table tennis and a putt-putt. The beach is a short walk from a side gate and there is a playground and a skatepark right before the beach coming from that direction. Shops close by, just a few minutes by car or an easy walk. The last night we stayed in one of their smaller cabins, just opposite the amenities. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was a cold and rainy day and the manager (she is working in the reception) made sure we were warm and cosy and put a heather in the cabin. Can highly recommend the park for a stay. We were so well looked after by the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe booked an en-suite cabin and (as in previous reviews) found it to be very small, at the park entrance (outside the boom gate - not great for kids), screen door did not lock and there was no balcony. Not sure if there are photos on the booing page (if so not sure what I was thinking booking it). For an extra $90 (for the night) we were able to move to a deluxe cabin closer to the beach. Much better!!!! Although the piers might need to be looked at as the cabin shook with the wind and walking through it. As for the facilities, itās no Big4 but the kids loved the pool. It was very quiet the night we stayed. I found the lady on reception to be very pleasant and helpful. Our friends had a powered site and we used the camp kitchen to eat our meals and play games with the kids. It was really clean and had a tv. Overall I would go back again but only to stay in a...
