I challenge anyone to find a better waterfront precinct in Australia. From Hemingway’s Brewery at the southern end to the fun ship playground in the North there’s more than 3km of top class facilities and parklands to explore. There’s three great playgrounds all unique, including muddy’s in the middle which is like a small kids theme park. Fantastic waterfront cafes like wharf one and muddy’s, a selection of great restaurants and bars. Heaps of fishing spots in the north and dedicated fishing wharves in the south. Very well appointed and sheltered BBQ areas scattered from one end to the other, as well as plenty of seating and picnic tables. There’s a very large free swimming pool in the shape of QLD. Exercise stations, a large well designed skate park, 1/2 a dozen tennis courts, beach volleyball courts. km’s of wide open park lands with shade trees , bike and walking tracks. A very well maintained, wide waterfront boardwalk runs the entire way with plenty of toilets facilities along the way. The list goes on. It’s a very popular spot with locals and tourists alike. Some half glass empty people might say “ what about the mud flats”. But it’s the mud flats give a world class waterfront precinct a world class migratory shore bird...

A great place to visit and use free swimming lagoon, barbecues, nice waterfront boardwalk. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars close by. There's a great kids playground with water park free to all. The beachfront is a bit ordinary when the tides out to expose the mudflats but this is a very important feeding and breeding grounds for all sorts of marine and bird life. A popular place for birdwatchers and can be good fishing when the tides in. Good prawn catches when they are running. YES, there are 🐊...

Lovely walk around , paths for cyclists, easy for wheelchair, pushchairs , there a free swimming pool for all to swim in . Picnic areas, children playgrounds, gym equipment for all to access, dog friendly. Plenty of places to sit down . Well maintained. Deli along , parking free. Always go here...
