At the bottom of the Crystalbrook Riley Tower you’ll find the Calypso Club. A relaxed waterfront rum bar with the kind of laid-back vibes you could easily lose track of time in.

The views are absolutely incredible, and it’s the perfect spot whether you’re wandering in straight from the pool for a casual drink or dressed up for an afternoon outing.

The food is unreal. Seafood tapas based, but so fresh, with the sashimi and tostadas being an absolute standout. Pair that with their impressive drinks list, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate tropical escape.

A special mention to Nairobi our waitress, whose warm smile and bubbly personality brought such a great energy to our table, and to James, who was mixing up some seriously top-tier cocktails behind the bar. The service and atmosphere together made the whole experience unforgettable.

Whether local or visiting, I highly recommend stopping by. You might just find yourself staying much longer...

This place really surprised me. We were walking by curious about the venue, and a server grabbed our attention and spoke with us in which he organised us a seat at the bar. The whole place is well set out with a Bahamas vibe. Being located on the corner of crystalbrook Riley, it gets a fantastic breeze through out the day when it's hot outside. We were seated at the bar where we were served by bailey. If you ever come by get bailey to make you a drink. His knowledge of flavours and what makes a good cocktail is one of the best I've come across. The hospitality of the whole venue is second to none. The staff are always checking to see if you need anything which makes the experience greater. This also is a real testiment to management (Fabrizio)and the expectation of what service should be. Hats...

I had an amazing experience at the bar thanks to Riccardo! From the moment I sat down, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about his craft. I wasn’t sure what to order, but after a quick chat about my preferences, he crafted a couple of tailored drinks that were absolutely spot on—balanced, flavourful, and exactly what I was looking for.

Beyond the drinks, the service was top-notch. Riccardo was efficient, engaging, and made sure I always had what I needed without feeling rushed. His knowledge of spirits and cocktails is impressive, and he create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another round.

If you’re looking for a bartender who delivers both quality drinks and excellent service, Riccardo is the one to ask for. I’ll...

Couldn’t fault the Calypso Club for location, food, service and seating. Really like the layout of the restaurant. Outside sun lounges, and inside open and airy. Had to go back for a second visit and again got the same experience. Share plates are exactly how we like to eat lunch. An easy uncomplicated menu made deciding easy. The choices are fresh, tasty and varied. Both our visits were late lunch and the restaurant wasn’t busy which suited us. The 2 staff handling the bar and table service were excellent both times. We will make this one of our go to lunch venues every time we’re in Cairns.
