Large open sport activity park. Mostly flat, well kept. Lake areas are lovely. Most of the walkable areas are unnatural or sport focused.
Spaces include: • Walking paths that extend beyond the open space of the park. Most of the Open Space path is exposed to the sun, and near the busy road. Paths are marked with meter measurements. The path experience is quite boring next to the road and a missed opportunity to enjoy the natural environment of the park areas. • Several car parks and accessible parking spaces. Main one is accessible by the Beach road entrance. • Community building • Cricket pitches, and practice cages. • Tennis courts • Moderate skate park great for about a dozen people max. • Baseball / Softball field • Dog spaces with designated areas for both large and small dogs. Little to no turf because they are well used. Signage for dogs on leads throughout the park. • Moderately sized playground 🛝 with swings and slide. Relatively new! • Accessible toilets near playground and community centre.
Adjacent the park, within the larger green space, is the Riding for Disabled Association. This includes a variety of horses in fields you can see from a few of the...
Read moreAn absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious park. Plenty of foot and cyclist paths. Beautifully maintained lawn. It has a skate park, a fenced dog park which is adjacent to a children playground, a big natural lake, and even a fenced horse stable. I didn't know there was a horse stable until I saw a horse standing behind the fence and horse riding gears hanging. The children playground has a decent number of play equipment pieces like monkey bars, slides, swings, steps, towers, etc. Toilet facilities are available. There is an ample amount of parking spaces, and plenty of green lawn spaces for kids to kick their ball. Many people walk around with their friendly dogs. My family and I felt happy and totally relaxed while in this park. While strolling along the footpath and admiring the beautiful environment, I told my family that we are so blessed to live in a State where such beautiful parklands are provided in great numbers in every suburb. Highly recommend Carine Regional Open Space it if you are looking for a place to take your kids and/or...
Read moreCarine Open Space is a popular community sporting and leisure environment. Many locals enjoy the walking circuit around the sports ovals, and there is another additional loop alongside the western edge of the lake that goes through native bushland through to the Monyash Road parklands and past the horse riding school.
The walk is quite level across the parkland.
The western end has tennis courts, The Carine Cats Ball Club Rooms, south of this is a path past a free, automated rest room. There is a large children’s playground, barbecues and shady trees to set up a picnic beneath (we had our Christmas BBQ like this - lovely). A basketball area is also in this space. Along the south-western end, new picnic shelters have been included. And the path is beneath Tuart trees - it’s beautiful. This path loops east toward Monyash Oval. The walking/running path...
