So disappointed that we can’t trust our local meat supplier any longer after 3 seperate cases and no response from management for my request for meetings. On Thursday my daughter was admitted into hospital after eating chicken that had nuts contaminated on the meat without any food labeling or advice. She had severe anaphylaxis after one taste requiring 2 ambulances to administer 2 epipens and 2 lots of adrenaline to bring her back in the worst case ever. From FB comments, there appears to be a complete lack of training in food cross contamination, also pictures showing meats with suspected nuts next to other meats. I will now report it to the Joondalup Health Department so no one else with allergies has to go through this...

Second time I’ve bought arancini at $2.95 a ball from the shop. Some might enjoy the surprise of truffle and mushroom, but not me, first time I didn’t mention it, but another $10 put into their coffers and another surprise… three of the 10 full of mushroom. Will return them tomorrow. Should probably mention I was expecting bolognese!

So, a few years later… normally not a bad thing to say about the butcher, but when I ask for the thick end of the fillet, I don’t mean the heavy end. This is not the Thick part of the fillet that I asked for, yes it is the fillet, but it’s just the weight I asked for (I asked for 600g but gave me 800g) but it’s not the cut I requested - $65. First world problem but come on...

I was heading around the community today and collecting a few things for a guy who is living at the park. I'm currently trying to find this guy crisis accommodation. I stopped by this Butcher and had a chat with Lee the Manager. Once Lee heard my story about the guy living it rough up the road, he immediately packed up a large hot meal for the homeless guy in the park, for no cost. It's people like Lee that make this community in Carine great. Thanks so much for your generosity mate. If you're reading this, please know your actions today fed this guy for a few days with high quality food. I'll keep an eye on this guy in the park, I hope we can get a roof over...
