I've taken the Chairlifts from Thredbo to Eagles nest twice in the last six last month once in September 2023 winter rates, and the cost was $70 again just now March 2024 summer rates and the cost was $55, can pre purchase tickets online at www.thredbo.com.au

The lift takes around 5-8 minutes to get up to Eagles' Nest Restaurant and is the starting point for one of the Mt Kosciuszko summit walk's, this walk from Eagles nest is around 13 km return trip...
The Chairlifts are not only for ski or hiking people to get on the mountain top, they also accommodate mountain bikes for a great ride back down and maybe do it all again as you can ride the lifts as many times as you like with a day pass...

Read moreI hesitated to write this but now I can tell that this place is a scam. First, they told that we booked for 3 ppl, one with the wrong date ( last Monday) , which is impossible because we booked for 3 at the same time, they chargedus $25.
Second, we bought the whole day pass for $65. In the beginning, they told one of my friends to change his pants because it's not suitable , he went and bought a new one for $180. Then they allowed us to ride it, we spent almost an hour on the top of the mountain, then we returned to our apartment to take some rest and came back again at 3:20 pm. This time they told us we are not allowed to have another ride because our clothes are not suitable even though it is the same clothes that we wore the first time. When i told them that they didn't make any sense, they mentioned our shoes. I tried to explain to them that it's winter clothes and waterproof, and it is the same clothes.
