Lissner Park — Attraction in Charters Towers City

We come here every time we are passing through specifically for the dog park. Well maintained grounds, dog park is an excellent asset for travellers like us who take their dogs everywhere and locals alike. To be honest, been there when the bars were in a few trees and now, they are part of nature, they weren't hurting anyone, and were not near the dog park or playground. If you are reading record and get scared of because of the bats don't. It really is a lovely park.

I used the BBQ here to cook dinner. They were clean but were not cleaned on the second day I used them. Centenary park seems more popular for group activities and gatherings. Parking seems difficult for parking on a couple of sides of the park you drive in and it goes nowhere...park wherever.... Dog enclosed exercise yard. And an enclosed yard with geese ducks and roosters. Nice lawn area, not lit and I didn't use the amenities so...
