Our stay at the Clog Barn was only 2 nights long, and we didn't have any spare time to visit the in-house attractions. I have no complaints to make about our stay, but there are a few things that could've been better. When we arrived, the lady in the office told me there is a cabin key deposit of $20. As I had not been made aware of this, and therefore had only $5 cash on me, she waived it, and gave me the key anyway (and for this, she has my thanks). There was a young lady and her elderly parents who arrived at 8:40pm on the same day as us, and she asked me where to go to check in as they had booked and paid for a cabin. Both offices were closed. Unfortunately, I was unable to help her, and found out later from the Clog Barn web site that arrival after 8pm is by appointment only. The 3rd party website on which this young lady booked her stay mentioned nothing of this, and I'm not sure what they ended up doing for the night.
The location is central to the north side of Coffs Harbour, being close to Park Beach Plaza, and a moderate walk or short drive to the main town shops. You'd need to drive to the beach from here though. The four berth cabin we stayed in was neat and clean with enough room that the kids were not tripping us up all the time. Linen for the double bed is provided along with two towels, and more is available on request - so long as the office is open, I guess. The air conditioner took a long time to get up to speed, but once it did, it worked well. Bring your own coffee. The two people I dealt with were very nice, and as helpful as the were able to be, but neither had been fully trained to work in the office where I encountered them. This would be the closest I could come to a complaint.
Overall, for the price we payed, it was not a bad...
Read moreWe stayed at Clog Barn Cabins for a couple of nights with a bunch of our friends with their family and kids. I haven't had the greatest experience but certainly think there is some scope for improvement at this place. I would definitely come back if they are looking to renovate all their cabins and allow pets to stay with us.
Pros: Loved the Miniature behind the store, Close proximity to everything around, Pet Friendly.
Cons: I felt all the cabins we booked were very old and not clean except for 1 cabin which was recently renovated. Some kitchen shelves had moulds on them. Bathroom was super tiny, my partner barely could fit in there. Hot water runs out quickly, not enough for 2 people. Had difficulty turning on AC with the room key and you can hear vibrating noise when it's turned on. Kitchen stove/Oven I felt a bit outdated. I did not like the Bunk beds provided it was facing the bathroom plus we had to make our own bed with sheets provided. They did not provide extra blankets for extra people in the cabin unless asked for. Wi-Fi is very slow, rather use your...

It is a quiet and peaceful place for accommodation. There is a pool and a laundry facility. The cabin we booked for two nights is alright and can accommodate up to 4 people. The price is also very affordable. Unfortunately, some damp patches and mould build-up are in some parts of the ceiling. Hopefully, this will be addressed as we are looking at coming back.
We had breakfast in Big Oma's Coffee shop, just at the front of the Clog barn. The pancakes were amazing, and it was a great experience to try some Dutch breakfast dishes. You have a nice view of the creek at the back you can have some group of Gecko visitors while dining. 😊
In the afternoon, we walked around the model Dutch village. It was alright looking at the little houses and the castle, but this is something you don't see every day. This is just beside the souvenir shop where you can watch, if you get lucky, clog-making.
Overall, it was a good experience.
