Cooma Monaro Railway — Attraction in Cooma

We have been coming to this market for quite a while now - love it! My girlfriend and I have a stall each month at the Artisan Markets, and it's well worth coming to see what's there. Fresh veggies grown outside Jindabyne, honey from various parts of our area, lots of clever crafty people, and gorgeous Eucalyptus oils handmade in the Snowy Mountains. Honey Garlic products, jams and pickles all for sale on the platform and surrounds of this lovely railway station. Toy railway rides, and you can see the great work of the volunteers in restoring this precinct. Oh, and great hot food...

Surprising find is the motor rail and the still in tact cable activate semaphore signal in the system. Can see hard work done by the restoration society and volunteers. The station itself is fine however the rolling stocks are vandalise quite badly. It is sad consider there are some rare units beside the motor rail there is one of the old track...

Enjoyed the Cooma Monaro Railway. I was a junior station hand back in 81 At Shellharbour Was on the railway for 16 years . Bought back good memories doing the KERO lights in the signals And getting payed by the paybus same as the one down the yard . And cleaning the levers every week with sand paper.
