We had lunch here at the Grand Court Chinese Restaurant and the customer service was really rude. The Owner took our order and I asked how much the prawn crackers were. She replied with $4. As she was walking away she asked “do you want some?” I replied with “No”. Later she arrives with the prawn crackers. The food that came was pretty ordinary, salty and the portions were pretty small. The owner who took our order got it wrong and the waitress brought us the food. We ordered a Sichuan Chicken fried rice and they gave us Satay Chicken. We immediately sent it back to the kitchen and it came straight back to the table. The waitress came back with the owner asking me to try the satay chicken. Explaining to the owner I had satay chicken before, i wanted what i had ordered. As they brought the food back to the kitchen, we overheard the waitress saying she will put the food in a takeaway container and eat it for dinner. The owner said i will cut down your pay then. How rude is that? Anyways we paid for our food and the owner charged us for the prawn crackers. We told her that we did not order it but we only asked for the price. The owner would murmur everything she said. She didn’t admit she was wrong for any mistakes she would only reply with yep or okay not even a sorry. Overall an underwhelming experience. Would rate 0 stars but google...
Read moreWe visited the grand court Chinese resteraunt after driving 3 and a half hours from Eden to Canberra and thought we would stop on the trip home. The customer service was amazing by the young waitress Amber, amber was really accommodating and friendly unfortunately a meal which we had ordered was like drinking a bowl of soy sauce. We ordered another soup in exchange of the disappointing meal. After the first soup being un eatable the manager had dipped her finger in our soup out in the open several times before abusing us at our table. “ why did you not eat it, you made us throw it out” when she actually had offered it to a staff member. The manager refused to make us another soup when we were willing to pay for all meals weather eaten or not. The manager needs to learn a thing or two from amber. We explained to the manager that hot and sour soup was supposed to be a orangey clear colour when we were served with it being full black.
very disappointing, do not recommend.

Read moreDisappointing experience due to the owner's rude behaviour. We stopped for lunch and encountered a very unpleasant interaction with the owner. When our soup arrived, we asked for prawn chips. Shortly after, noticing the absence of soy sauce and paper, we requested these as well. The owner reacted rudely, suggesting we should only make one request and stating her busyness in the kitchen. As paying customers, we found this attitude astonishing. Basic condiments like soy sauce and paper are usually standard, and it's unreasonable to be treated poorly for making polite requests. The owner's behaviour significantly detracted from our meal and left a very negative impression. Our lunch was marred by the shockingly poor attitude...
