Awesome walk along the shore. Path shared by pedestrians and bikes. bars, cafes and restaurants where you can stop and have a meal or a drink . If I lived in Canberra, I'd love to be here. Nice apartments facing the water. An intriguing mix of history and modernity—'old' Kingston defined by heritage homes, boutique shops and cosy cafés; Kingston Foreshore its flashier lakeside younger sibling. Stroll around to encounter boutiques, book shops, beauty destinations and a cornucopia of restaurants and cafés.

Kingston Foreshore is the East Circular Quay of Canberra surrounding beautiful Lake Burly Griffin. This is Canberra's hidden gem whereby everyone associates Canberra with the Australian War Memorial, The Old Parliament House and Parliament House but not the Kingston Foreshore. Get use to the somewhat "laid back" atmosphere here while you still can before it becomes super busy with international tourists like what happened to East Circular Quay in Sydney.

Delicious! We ordered Chicken Momo's and the Non-Veg Nepalese Thali to share. They paired well. The Thali includes a small serve of meat but cooked to perfection. Delightful mixture of flavours and colours including fermented and picked vegetables and a crumbly fried eggplant that went well with the sauce. *I believe the Thali is only available for lunch. They apply a 10% surcharge on Saturdays and Sundays along with a 1.6% surcharge for card.

Get there before sundown as it is worth walking around the foreshore, and specially watching the sun go down. When you are hungry you have a wide range of restaurant types including a one hat restaurant. Then another walk around the foreshore to not only let the food go down, but to check out the view of the far shoreline, especially under moonlight. You have to pay for car parking up until 5 or 530, then it is free. Plenty of spots...
