Free - Plenty of Parking - kids park close by

I’ve visited the Japanese Gardens in East Gosford multiple times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. The serene environment and meticulously maintained landscape make it a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection.

One of the highlights for me is feeding the fish. For just $2 per feed bag, it’s a joyful activity that adds to the overall experience. Watching the colorful koi fish eagerly gather is both calming and entertaining, though you have to keep an eye out for the cheeky ducks that love to steal the fish food!

I’ve also dined in the on-site cafĆ© several times. Each visit has been consistently pleasant with friendly service and a good selection of tasty dishes. Whether you’re looking for a light snack or a full meal, the cafĆ© does not disappoint.

You can easily enjoy an hour or more here, whether you’re feeding the fish, enjoying a meal, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are well-maintained and offer a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Highly...

Love the gardens and been there many times.

Absolutely unpleasant experience from today’s cafe visit though. We have been told not to sit at the selected table because they want everyone to sit on one side of the cafe. Then I had to wait for 10 mins at the counter for someone to place an order and another 15 mins for my muffin to be taken from the shelf and brought over. It was not busy at all. At last we have been told to stop our kids from running around as ā€œwe are opening the area on the other side and it’s called a restaurantā€. We had to move outside while I was breastfeeding my baby.

Disgraceful attitude and I wouldn’t want to be back. Unfortunately, heard similar feedback from my friend who visited the other day. Something has to be done with the staff training...

absolutely beautiful place to relax and recharge. edogawa commemorative garden is honestly like stepping into another world, so peaceful and calming.

the gardens are perfectly kept, with stunning koi ponds, little bridges, and traditional japanese landscaping that feels super authentic. it’s the kind of place where you just want to stroll around slowly and take everything in.

it’s also a great spot for photos or just sitting quietly and clearing your head. i really appreciate how well maintained everything is, and you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping it so pristine

if you’re anywhere near East Gosford, definitely check it out. such a hidden gem and a perfect spot to unwind, and if you have $3 feed the ducks and koi who fight over...

Stopped along the route of a Central Coast drive. The Japanese garden was okay. It is not very large but quite Japanese with raked pebbles, clipped hedges, ponds, koi and natural rock formations. Hey, the hedges were not THAT clipped- c’mon guys, get your secateurs out! It was raining so we ducked inside to see the art gallery. I really liked this space with its very eclectic local art collection. There was a portrait competition on, so it felt like the Archibald Prize (a bit). We voted for who we thought should win. I do remember the gardens as being much more fun with small kids around to marvel at ducks and fish but didn’t get that vibe this time as two adults. Nice spot to spend an hour or two. Cafe on site which we didn’t go to.

An incredibly beautiful and calming garden which perfectly captures the essence of the Japanese spirit. The gardens provided ample cooling, with plenty of beautiful Koi fish and ducks in the pond for you to feed should you so desire. The greenery is enhanced by the backdrop of the ocean breeze right behind the gardens, giving the place the impression of a cool oasis. My partner and I arrived at 2PM on a 28 degree day and felt instantly cooled upon entering the gardens. A true must visit when in Gosford. The Regional Galleries and a beautiful cafe is right next to it, making it a one-stop-shop for food, gardens and art all in one!

We visited on a week day and were a little surprised by this lovely location, one that we had passed by so many times. Very convenient parking, including 'disability',and the flat easy access to the galleries, Cafe and garden enables people of all ages to enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Entry is free, the food is very good, the toilets are very clean and a gift shop with a focus on Japanese style products are all positives of a visit here. Gardens may be relatively small but has water features as main focus with well maintained gardens and good seating throughout.
