We had such a wonderful visit on Sunday! The volunteers were so welcoming, friendly and informative and we were able to learn so much more as they wandered around, chatting and engaging with visitors. My 2.5 year old had an absolute blast- her favourite places were the old school building (where she got to sit at the teacher’s desk and ring the old school bell) and the collection of old telephones that have been painstakingly looked after and actually work (you can call each other from across the room). The volunteers have worked tirelessly to create such an amazing historical village, it really feels like you have wandered back in time. Every item tells its own story and has been cared for with love. My favourite parts were the schoolhouse, original cottage and the vintage toy museum. Such a delight for history buffs and anyone really. We will be back! Thank you for making our visit to Samford Valley so memorable and lovely.

One of the best museums I’ve been too so comprehensive and yet it’s free of charge. The volunteers were so nice and friendly gave me a lot of information about what the village was like and what it has become. They did warn me about an arrogant culture within the area which I discovered for myself at the arts craft shop. One of the volunteers sat down to have a good long chat with me. I really enjoyed my time here very enriching no hesitation for a 5-star review. A must visit place.

A great way to step back in time to see how our great grandparents lived. This is a well curated collection of memorabilia including farm machinery, horse buggies, old pre-electric sewing machines, washing machines and kids toys. For the very fair price of $5 for Adults you can wander around easily for a couple of hours looking at all the beautifully restored items and collections of things like telephones. Even has a "thunder box" (outdoor toilet) complete with redneck spider.

Today I took 32 people from our Probus Club to the Samford Historical Village. On arrival we were met by Jeff as he welcomed everyone. We did the morning tea and tour entry, and I must say , the morning tea was delicious. Home made scones, pikelets, jam and fresh cream with lovely sandwiches, what a treat. All of our members had a really good look around the Vllage, which brought back some great memories of early childhood, and how a lot of our pioneers fared. A delightful day and well worth seeing, I highly...
