Well we ended up in the Maryborough information centre, it has relocated from the station and is indeed just a short stroll across Burns Street. We were met by 2 very well informed ladies, and had a very animated, educational and fun conversation about the mill that originally provided electricity to the town, and some hidden stories about the station and some of the features there well ahead of their time, If you want to know more about the Town, pop in as there is ample info about the town and outlying areas available. The staff there were helpful & gave us an one on one insight to the local area & its rich history. Lot to see & research there all in air-condition comfort. Lots of souvenirs & gifts were available to purchase with a café style restaurant adjacent. All under the one roof at Maryborough train station. Recommended to all visitors...
