Use to love going here for lunch, it was always fairly expensive but the portions and quality were enough to balance it, now though, I won't be coming back, these prices are extraordinary, Noodle sushi king prepares it faster and gives you a good amount for your price. Family style Chinese? I don't think so, all Asian restaurants I've eaten at have had good prices and meal sized dishes because Asians respect and love food and know the importance of a good dish. Even Hoi-Ann in Ballarat which is Vietnamese knows the balance and portion size, Heck the Bangkok Thai restaurants in Maryborough gets it right, I don't know what happened but prices at this place kept rising until it became ludicrous, Who is the target customer exactly, think they've lost the family roots it was...

Asked for Satay Beef serve with Noodle dining inn. Staff had trouble understanding basic english. She showed me Noodles as seperate. I said yes that is what i want with the Satay Beef. Then i looked at the price of the Noodles alone being $ 18 Bugs! I never in my entire life seen such a high price tag just for Noodles! I said you have to be kidding me. At that point i decided to leave and eat else where. Then some local dildo eating there calling Me! a Dildo. Guess they all know each other and are tightly knit who cannot handle a Customer leaving and voicing a view point. Satay Chicken or Beef are commonly served in Adelaide. Guess some small Town Folks just don't know any different. I recommend to give it a miss....

Update June 2023 - Prices seem to have jumped again, two lunch meals one was plain rice and chicken the other fried rice and chicken very small amounts on the plates for $50. Sad to see the prices this high for what was once an affordable family restaurant.

It really has to be one of the best country town Chinese restaurants in Victoria well maybe in Australia. The best Chinese food I've had in rural VIC. The loss of 2 stars is for extremely steep price now and the fact that it costs $40 for one dish and rice it used to be affordable, it's the only place I've been to that charges you for prawn crackers.
