Read moreSet in an historic building this museum would be the best private museum I've had the pleasure of visiting & will certainly be returning. The curators have done an excellent job in assembling and displaying the myriad of items from the Australian military conflicts from the Boer war to current Afganistan conflict. It is obvious that a much larger site needs to be sought to enable expansion of more artifacts/ information thus allowing these items to be comfortably viewed. Sub standard lighting made it difficult to read and see some items. It is also a shame that no mention of the suffering of Prisoner of War (POW) gets a mention anywhere. Read moreExtremely varied, inclusive and well preserved displays. Friendly veteran staff who were knowledgeable and helpful. The whole area was well presented, full of information, housed in a historic precinct and building. The 'bunker' experience was surreal, with sounds that, for a civilian, hinted at what it may have been like in the trenches. An enormous display of medals, weaponry and interest facts.
