Aunty Kim's — Attraction in Melbourne

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding party lunch at Aunty Kim's and we cannot express enough how thrilled we were with the experience. From the moment we made our initial inquiry, right up until the end of the event, the team at Aunty Kim's, especially Ellie, went above and beyond to make our special day absolutely perfect. Let's start with the food. Aunty Kim's offered a delightful banquet-style feast that left all our guests in awe. The variety and quality of the dishes were exceptional. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavors that truly delighted our taste buds. The amazing chefs at Aunty Kim's showcased their culinary expertise with every bite. The drinks selection was equally impressive. The cocktail choices were a massive hit with our guests, who couldn't stop raving about them. Whether it was classic favorites or creative concoctions, the drinks were expertly crafted and complemented the delicious food perfectly. Aunty Kim's ensured that our guests had a fantastic range of beverages to choose from, making the celebration even more memorable. The staff at the bar were friendly and kept our guests entertained as they mixed the cocktails for them. One thing that truly stood out was Aunty Kim's unwavering dedication to accommodating guests with dietary requirements. We had several attendees with specific dietary requirements, and we were amazed at how seamlessly Aunty Kim's handled it all. The alternative options provided were just as mouthwatering as the regular dishes, leaving everyone satisfied and impressed. Aunty Kim's certainly knows how to cater to diverse needs without compromising on taste or quality. We cannot emphasise enough the professionalism and exceptional service provided by Ellie and the entire team at Aunty Kim's. From the early planning stages to the day of the event, Ellie's attention to detail and responsiveness to our queries were impeccable. She graciously accommodated numerous site visits, ensuring that everything was precisely as we envisioned. On the day of the event, Ellie expertly managed every aspect, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration without any worries. We would wholeheartedly recommend Aunty Kim's to anyone looking for a venue for their special event. Lastly, we must mention we had organised for a Chinese Lion Dance performance. Ellie went above and beyond to ensure that there was sufficient space in the venue for the performance. My husband and I just got hitched at Aunty Kim's on the weekend and what a perfect event space it is to not only have your ceremony there but your reception too for an intimate wedding. We did look at other places around the Fitzroy/Collingwood area but we were drawn to Aunty Kim's because we were amazed with the beauty and elegance of their space, delicious menu (lots of options to choose from) and wide selection of cocktails and drinks with very affordable prices. We had the pleasure of co ordinating our wedding with Courtney. A woman who made sure she exceeded our expectations and vision. Her bubbly and friendly energy is what kept us calm as we planned this wedding within 3 months of getting married. We originally wanted 20+ guests, and as our numbers increased, she was very accommodating to our last minute changes and hiccups. Our 60+ guests who attended on the day has told us it was the perfect day and walked out with their bellies and hearts full. Every little bit of detail that we may have missed, Courtney made sure that she was on top of it. Her attention to detail and prompt communication is why she is the best in this industry! I can say that with confidence as I've helped plan my best friend's wedding and been a bridesmaid many times and worked alongside with other wedding coordinators. Courtney, you are truly one in a million and any future events that is held at Aunty Kim's or anywhere this life takes you, whomever you work alongside with, we have considered the luckiest people in the world!

The staff who were present for service during our reception, were super friendly and precise at getting food out on time. They respected our space when needed during speech times. We loved seeing you get involved and loved looking back to our photobooth photos and loved loved loved seeing your photos taken before service time ;)

Some feedback we received from our suppliers is that Courtney should be commended on her great organisation. They have also said that Aunty Kim's was a beautiful and diverse space to have a wedding/any event.

Words will never be enough but thank you so so much to Courtney, her team and Aunty Kim's for making this such a special day for us. It's one that we will never forget!

P.S Google team - might need to work on increasing your rating to something higher than 5 Star because our rating would definitely be more than 5 star when it comes to reviewing Aunty Kim's (and Courtney!) :)

Oh my goodness, where to begin? If I could give Aunty Kim's a 6-star rating I would. Possibly more!

From the moment we first visited the venue to check it out, we knew it was the right place for us to celebrate our wedding. So much so that we didn't visit any other venues, and we paid the deposit on the spot.

Let's start with the actual venue. Polished concrete floors, velvet curtains and Victorian chandeliers. It’s cool and sophisticated – very inner north! There was also plenty of greenery in the room even before we brought in our own floral arrangements, and candles galore really added to the ambience.

Our events manager Maddie was so cool, calm and collected throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Her attention to detail was second to none, and she thought of things that wouldn't have even crossed our minds.

Our wedding night was absolutely magical. Maddie ensured the bridal party's arrival and entry was seamless and she hit every cue in our playlists throughout the night. The food was DIVINE! Delicious, interesting, modern and beautifully executed. Most of our guests are serious foodies and they all commented on how amazing the food and wine was. There were so many options for us to choose from, but we went with ‘Aunty's banquet’ and a beverage package. Dietary requirements were catered to impeccably and the wait staff and bar staff were so lovely and friendly, and unobtrusive. They made sure the night was all about us.

We couldn't have asked for anything more for our special night. Having spoken to friends about their wedding/event spend, we also felt Aunty Kim’s represented great value for money. Not having a venue hire fee meant every cent was spent on the food, drinks and experience. We had a choice to book the whole venue (as we did) but we'd consider booking half the venue for a smaller event like a birthday party or a corporate function.

It's also a great location. Those who want to kick on after the event could go straight to Fitzroy St or Brunswick St and find a plethora of cool bars and venues to keep the party going.

Highly, HIGHLY recommend Aunty Kim's for ANY kind of function....
