Their crazy shakes and pancake waffle stacks have been blowing my mind on the gram and I finally got to experience the epic deliciousness for myself. Also a special mention for the most amazing waitress we had, super accommodating and truly lovely. My fellow foodie and I met up with another foodie couple and therefore got to try not only the stacks but also some savoury items well worth checking out too. Because of all the food we opted to get the smaller version of the shakes which believe me are still super impressive. We went for the golden ticket and the Willy Wonka which was recommended. I don’t think I’ve ever had a blue heaven milkshakes before but I surprisingly found myself quite enjoying it, particularly with the little candies on top of the yummy strawberry ice cream which threw me all the way back to my childhood. The savoury dishes were the smashed avocado which was a really great rendition on Turkish bread so it felt a little lighter than a sourdough version which equipped me to tackle the stacks later on. I also loved the flavoursome blistered tomatoes with this and the perfect Persian feta. I find some feta varieties too salty but this one was AMAZING. The poached egg was free range too which is really important to me. The big breakfast was our other savoury and this boasted a yummy hash brown, tasty beans and beef rashers which was something I hadn’t tried before. Another great dish but of course the star of the show was the stacks. We had both the cherry ripe and the Kinder and I can’t quite decide which one was more stellar. These stunningly presented, mind blowing utterly delicious creations are comprised of two pancakes and two superbly made waffles and a truckload of Nutella. They look sensational and they taste even better although definitely share this dish otherwise you’ll be coming down from a pretty serious sugar high later on. In fact I’d suggest going with a few friends so you can order both because I would thoroughly recommend the pair of them. I’ll definitely be back to try the DSP!!

I recently visited Old School Pizza & Stonegrill’s new premises which has moved a few doors down. I was invited to try the new pancake and waffle stack, for those who can’t decide between pancakes and waffles, and want something decadent. I couldn’t imagine anyone eating a whole one, so I suggest sharing it between 2 or 3. It was pretty tasty though, it was a good waffle. They come in four themes: kinder, cherry ripe, curly wurly and chomp. We also had some crazy milkshakes. They are on trend, not my preference but I can’t fault them. The reason why this place is great is actually their breakfast / brunch options. Really well done. Plentiful and cooked well. We had the smashed avo and the big breakfast. No frills but with all the thrills. Good value for the cost. The other reason why this place is great was the service. The person who served us was friendly, attentive and responsive. In the instragram world, customer service is a commodity and Old School have this in spades. I like the new premises. The fit out has been done nicely, so it feels like a pizza place would at night, and a café during the day. I was curious to see people turning up relatively early in the morning for brunch. It’s good that people can see past the name (which has the word pizza on it) and realise they have variety in their menu. Ultimately, Old School is a great café, with a mix of standard breakfast/brunch options done really well, some visually appealing sweet options for the big kid inside you, and stellar customer service that will make you come back for more.

Booked table for 2 from their website. They called to confirm. Checked the menu beforehand, was targeting a steak and pizza. When at the restaurant ushered to our table quickly and the young lady wasted no time in talking us through specials and recommending dishes since it was our first time there. Clearly popular place with families. She recommended the tower, pricey but had the works and you were sampling many of their offerings. It was massive, i mean massive! It could have fed 4 easily, we had to pack wrote a bit to go. Cooking the steak on the stone slab was fun, their accompaniment sauces were plenty and the mushroom sauce was to die for. Loved it all, pizza was juicy and delicious. Topped up by the great service I'm sure to head back again. I only didn't like the nudge at the end to pay quickly so they could offer the table to someone else.

Fantastic evening. First night at old school pizza Coburg(we 've just move to VIC) and first night out after Covid 19 and I felt very safe* But I want to say how delicious everything was. *(Large separation between tables and staff very cautious) We were a table of 6 so, I could taste differents dishes (with my own fork!) First, it was difficult to choose , as the menu is really attractive. I had a melting Veal scalopini with marsala and Mash potatoe with creamy mushrooms. Delicious and generous.Anyway all the dishes are very generous but At the same time Every product used are of a good quality. I tasted my son's blue steack Gorgeous Seared grilled and warm Perfect .And the meat to die for. We were all full But we had to have desserts They are"instagrammable❣️❣️ The milk shake seemed amazing but I was full. So you know what? It will be for next time. We were lucky to meet the ower (Kamal(?)) Such a darling man and passionate...Again We couldn't hug to say good bye ..but I hope it's for next time💜 Oh and we have to check the new old school in Westmeadows as well (closer to my home) Thank you to everyone for a team work We really enjoyed our evening Ps It's an halal restaurant so no alcohol but I must say with good company good food and good atmosphere I didn't miss it....
