Microwave broke down at work, so I had to find a quick alternative for lunch. Luckily, this kebab shop was just across the road from my workplace, right on the corner next to the car wash. The price was reasonable for a kebab. I liked that I could choose between pita or Turkish bread—I've never been a fan of flat pita bread, so I went with the latter. The kebab was fresh and generously filled with meat, although it had a bit more sauce than I usually prefer. There are outdoor seats, but it was too cold to eat outside, and you do get a bit of mist from the car wash next door. I appreciated that the guy running the shop let me know there’d be a 5–7 minute wait. Overall, a decent spot for a quick meal if you're in a hurry. I’d also come back for a late-night snack.

Came here to grab some food before a drive in movie. Due to Ramadan most of the kebab shops on Sydney Rd were closed even more than an hour before their signs said so had to drive around to find a decent kebab. We ordered a lamb kebab and a mixed HSP. Service was ok and took a bit longer than stated, and I’m guessing due to Uber Eats orders even though we were the only ones there. Taste is very important and I liked my kebab, just a bit soggy. My wife’s HSP was a hit thought, and the chips had a lot of crunch. Note that cheese isn’t included in the HSP and is $1 extra, but the guy told us the HSP is cheaper anyway to make cheese optional. It was a cool spot as well at a car park, but parking was a bit tricky.

When Sydney Road / Coburg is the mecca of kebab trucks, I knew I had to try this new joint in the neighbouring suburb of Brunswick. Kebab Stop opened three months ago… how dreamy does it look with the palm trees in the background? POV: A loaddddded mixed meat with Turkish bread, chips, and a drink. Value for money with this combo – everything was FRESH. Salad was not soggy. Bread was well toasted (the rip in the bread was my fault when I was eagerly unwrapping it). You could tell the chips were cooked in new oil and came out well salted. It didn’t feel like a heavy dirty kebab so I would defs go back for sure to try the pita wrap next time.

Yesterday, after a very long shoot at a local studio found this place very late into the night.

Hadis (who I presume is the owner), was super friendly and hospitable to some very tired and hungry guys.

I ordered the mixed kebab, holy trinity, in pita bread upon his recommendation. Wasn’t the best kebab I’ve had but still up there in terms of quality. The bread was pretty great.

Yet.

Verily, the best chips with chicken salt I’ve had! It was distributed so evenly and just the right amount and so all the chips were so good while not even oily. The best part I think, still was that even after the hour drive home, the chips retained their crunch, while not perfect, they were crispy and beautiful with not a soggy piece even with half a large order. Consider me impressed.

It’s in front of a car wash, what are you expecting from a kebab stop in terms of casual atmosphere? (╹◡╹) No chairs however but they had a bin just next...
