I decided to take a group of friendly dogs to Kanes Bridge for our hour walk and adventures. As a Professional Dog Walker, Pet Sitter, and Pet Groomer I am always looking for great outdoor places like Kanes Bridge to help enrich my clients’ dogs (and to keep them physically fit and mentally stimulated). The 6 different dogs I walked had a lot of fun as they got to meet other friendly people and pets which really helped improved their social skills. I would recommend this place if you’re looking to go for a fun walk with your loved ones. P.S. If you’re a dog parent who would like help enriching your pet’s life then get in touch with me on social media. You can find me @MartinDaiNguyen on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter.

Quite a nice old bridge, almost 100 years old. It looked like it needed a bit of maintenance. One session of the metal fence had been lossen and inclined. There was a risk that someone walking fast and without looking at the floor of the bridge might clash with the lossen / inclined metal fence. Besides, parts of the wooden boards / structures looked like deteriorated and replacement / painting might be required to ensure durability..

An interesting suspension bridge across the Yarra River. Lots of boats and kayaks pass underneath, and there's a few connecting tracks from here that you can take your dog on leash. Plenty of shade either side of the bridge entrances, with the bridge being quite exposed to the sun. Quite narrow for bikes to cross, but it was quite quiet when we visited.

Ah, memories of a time when I was younger. We spent a lot of time at Yarra bend park, remembering others more daring that used to jump from the bridge into the middle of the river. Sometimes to bomb passing boats from Studley park boathouse. It's been fenced off now to stop that sort of behaviour, but its a beautiful area and the view from the bridge of the surrounding...
