One of, if not my favourite Melbourne Beaches. Great water for a swim and great sand for just laying there reading a book or sunbathing. It's also a perfect place for walking or jogging along the Beaconsfield Pde boulevard. The exercise equipment on the foreshore is fun too and there are benches along the way where you can just sit and relax, and look out onto the bay and beach, watch the big ships sailing in and out of the bay, and look at the yachts and windsurfers. A perfect place so close to the busy CBD.

A beautiful clean, bayside beach, less than 5km from Melbourne's CBD, with ample parking, changerooms, outdoor beach showers, & public exercise station, along with close access to hire bikes & stand up paddle board hire. Adjacent to a running/cycling path which extends from Port Melbourne to Mordialloc beach via St.kilda foreshore area, - it is littered with cafes, eateries & bars along the journey.

I had just as much fun as my munchkins did. The beach was beautiful & pretty clean of rubbish (I only had to pick up 4 pieces). It was surprisingly easy to get a parking spot right where I wanted. BUT THE $5.40 AN HOUR FOR PARKING IS OUTRAGEOUS !!! Thank goodness the water was great & the smiles & sqeueals of happy laughter from my 3 youngest munchkins kind of took a 'lil of the sting out of it.

Magnificent location and consistently immaculate. The beach is free of rubbish and sea weed and it is always a joy to see the beach after it has been raked by one of the council tractors. There is always ample parking, however like most places that attract crowds the council certainly cashes in on the parking. The PayStay payment option makes payment a breeze. It is a shame the toilets are closed early as there has been many an occasion where I have seen tourists try to open the toilets doors only to be disappointed. Surely lighting and external cameras would limit public disturbances. I often see families on the beach. The bike path is a death trap to the unsuspecting tourist or others who are not local to the area. Racing bikes generally screem abuse to the unsuspecting pedestrian. Common sense must prevail, cyclists need to consider multi users...

LIVING IN MELBOURNE MAKES YOU APPRECIATE THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT Middle Park Beach is an amazing oasis of sun and space ... we should take a moment to recognise that we can enjoy natural spaces like this in what is becoming a more crowded city. Full marks to the local council for keeping the beach clean and accessible in the long summer months when people are seeking sanctuary from the heat! Now, if we can all remember NOT to discard plastic bags, the ocean will be much healthier...
