Packer Park — Attraction in Melbourne

Well kept park with loads of outdoor activities for all ages. From the kids playgrounds to the very cool Bike Velodrome there are cricket and football ovals. Place to hit some aces with a rebound wall to practice your tennis and a mini basketball area. If keeping in shape and fit is your thing then hit the fitness equipment area, There are plenty of walkways with park benches to sit and take it all in amongst our native flora and fauna and not to forget our furkids furpups our beloved fury family pets there's sections of the park to allow some exercise and play time for them if you enjoy a bit of a slower paced activity there's the immaculate lawn areas to enjoy a bit of Lawn Bowls or Bocce and to end the day with a BBQ for yourself and your family and friends at the BBQ Facilities Tables, seating and shelter all here and there's public toilet facilities. Love packer park live opposite but not at all happy that I can't exercise my 8 month old pup in the fenced off oval. They can't be in the veladrome. The other parts of the park are not safe. It stinks in my opinion as a resident and rate payer that I can't train my pup safely off a leash. Then the inspectors come up to you even in the early morning when it's not being used by the sports people.

Great park for young, elderly, and everyone in between. Plenty to do. Has: picnic tables, good children's playground, walk/scoot/roller blade/cycle paths. Also, a velodrome accessible to the public. There is a tennis wall, basket ball hoop, cricket and golf nets, outdoor gym, platonk pit and outdoor bowls field (off to one side beyond the outdoor gym).
