Red Rooster Ormond — Restaurant in Melbourne

TERRIBLE food, nothing like the in-store pictures. Im used to fast food stores dishonestly overexaggerating the look of their meals, but Red Rooster takes this to a new level of abysmal! We ordered two meal boxes (Spicy and Reds) and they were both TINY! A tiny piece of tasteless "crispy" chicken, a burger not much more than a puffed up bun with small sloppy innards and a tiny piece of chicken. Regular chips = a tiny bag about the size of Maccas small chips. $28 bucks for that rubbish! We came away hungry! EXACTLY what Craig Davis said in his review 1 month ago - seems the store has ignored his review. So Mr/Mrs Store manager... no formula responses asking for a private feedback form! Make an effort. Explain IN PUBLIC RIGHT HERE IN THE RESPONSE exactly what you will do to fix this ASAP. Dont hide behind private feedback forms, you know exactly what is wrong (look at all the recent negative reviews!). Otherwise readers will interpret that as you dont care. Oh and you owe me a refund. The staff at this location are lazy and care free. They make you feel as though they are doing you a favor when they acknowledge you and take your miserable order.

I stood awaiting to be served at the counter for 10 minutes. The staff take their time making your food and just stand around talking in Hindi about their personal lives while a group of us are frustratingly standing and waiting.

The 'drive thru' was their first and only priority, and until the cars in the bay were looked after nobody in the actual restaurant was given any attention.

When my SLOP was finally ready I sat down to "enjoy" my meal.

The chips were highly soggy and there was no salt on them AT ALL.

The potato and gravy was absolutely disgusting. It was about 70% Gravy and 10% Mashed Grease....20% of the container was air.

The bread in my RIPPA sub was stale and there was barely any of their "famous" mayonnaise in it.

This Red Rooster has fallen off its perch. Never...

We had a strange encounter with Michelle at the Ormond Vic store recently.

I went through drive through and asked the guy if the chips were golden and crispy. He confidently said yes and based on that we ordered $37 worth of food.

Got home 5 minutes later to find he lied about the chip quality. We were all annoyed because my sister worked there for years and when she cooked the chips they were the best...like Red Rooster chips always should be but aren't...hence why I asked about them 1st.

I rang straight away and said we weren't happy with them and Michelle got quite defensive and assured me...well, they were golden and crispy when they left here...I cooked them!!

I said my sister worked there for years so we know what they should be like. She said she didn't know what I expected from her because they were perfect. 🤣

Hoping she's not a manager but wow. So...
