Toscana Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Let me preface by stating- I know pizza. I know ingredients- bases, sauces, cheeses ect, I know wood-fired & conveyor-belt ovens, I know the chefs (the Red-Centre in Crows Nest, Sydney, W.P.C in Double Bay, Casa Juanita in Central Sydney), & needless to say, I've sampled every type of pizza, from single-serve full gourmet to Domino's $5 special, from fresh-out-of-the-oven to 3-day-leftovers-straight-from-the-fridge (and everything in between; I've got the hi- strength Nexium prescription to prove it).

This is good pizza.

Tastes best within 10-15 minutes out of the oven (right in the goldilocks zone of 'not too hot' and 'what is this plastiky, yellow substance that has a congealed sneeze effect doing on my once hot & fresh pizza..?), but also doesn't lose much after a night in the fridge. Prices are very good value, although they could do well with a discount on a certain night... give the ppl of Murrumbeena a dedicated 'Pizza night'... that's the one, & ONLY thing I miss about living in Newport; Tuesday night was always 'pizza from Mama Teresas'. Good but has changed. Been ordering from here for a long time, pizzas still solid but not quite the same as they were. Online order website has changed and unfortunately is not as user friendly- second time trying to order only to be told not taking orders- 10mins later all fine. To the pizzas - price is still the same however quality seems to have declined - not sure if it’s new owners or just cost of ingredients increase - which I understand - that said I’d be happy to pay a little more for the same as what used to be served - what was I consider the best best pizza I’ve ever had. Pizza is delicious as always and it hit the spot for pizza craving. The carbonara is yummy and a good size.

Had the Nutella donuts and my kids went crazy over them!

Very friendly staff greeting customers with a smile, and the owner always is respectful in the way he talks to the workers.

I ordered the Napolitana pizza with added prawns and my friend had the Mediterranean pizza, the ingredients tasted fresh and flavoursome
