The pumping station is beautiful architecture, and the steam engine is a treasure. If you can visit on a Sunday when they usually have it running, then you'll be impressed to see the smoothness and sheer momentum of two storeys worth of precision steel gliding up and down. Credit to the volunteer who has been consistent for at least ten years since we've been visiting...
