Pretentious & irritating. The products and produce are good and reasonably priced, which is why I was fair with the extra star, however, you can’t rely on certain products being available when you need them. I’d say 80% of the time when I shop at Terra Madre Brunswick, something I need is out of stock and I’m there at least once a week. The reason for this review is that I am so over the rudeness of the staff there! Obviously not everyone is rude, but there might be one or two workers that are friendly and everyone else cannot be bothered with you. I’ve had to ask staff to move so I can get past with my pram, no apology. I’ve also seen staff without masks during mandates but whatever, I’m sure we’re all sick of hearing that nonsense. Today lead me here… one server at the register and I was 4 people away from being served. Another server stands at another register. I approached asking if she was opening (why did I have to even ask!? It was pretty obvious what I needed) and she replies with a “urgh, I cannot be bothered attitude” ‘not right now’. I move up a spot in the queue only to see that miss I can’t be bothered had in fact opened the second register and is serving another customer. Cool, thanks.

I’ll keep going to Terra Madre because I like the product and it’s convenient, but that in itself annoying because I don’t feel like they want my money, or care either way. Disappointing really because I was excited...

COVID EXPOSURE SITE WAITING TO HAPPEN I was keen to check out the new Brunswick store but was dismayed to visit today to find no less than 6 random people shopping without masks on. If it were one person, I could conceive that they have a legitimate exemption, but half a dozen? No. These people were cruising through the check out with not one the staff calling them out for this illegal behavour and potential risk to others. I guess I shouldn't be suprised that some of Terra Madre's customers are the kind of people who think that biodynamic activated charcoal yogurt is going to protect them against coronavirus, but some of us are also shopping for organics because we have legitimate auto-immune or other health issues. By not monitoring who comes in to the store, Terra Madre are failing this second group of customers. Sure, they have good products, but I'm not risking my health or the life of my loved ones over a jar of honey and a couple of cans of beans....
