Always love Vmax for the latest blockbuster! 30.10 so good to be back at the movies! Likd Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 rings. 9.11 The Eternals. Very interesting. 14.11 James Bond, brilliant! 6.12 Dune. Can't wait for part 2. 17.12 Spiderman! Do not miss this. 3.1 The Matrix OK you do need to have seen the first three. 4.1 Ghostbusters. Brilliant, fantastic tribute to original. 8.1 West Side Story...take tissues. 19.1 Nightmare Alley, oh my goodness if you love Film Noir don't miss. 17.2 Death on the Nile, fantastic cast but predictable. 5.3 The Batman. Dark, grungy excellent! 7.4 Fantastic Beasts, average. Morbius average. 16.4 The Lost City. Hysterical and fantastic cameo from Brad Pitt. 14.5 Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen outstanding. 26.5 Top Gun Maverick, does not disappoint. 9.6 Jurassic World, Dominon. A great finish for the beloved franchise. 23.6 Elvis you will leave Elvis angry and sad and in awe of Austin Butler. 7.7 Thor: Love and Thunder. Funny cameo from Russell Crowe and an absolute treat for Guns N Roses fans, like me. 10.11 Duran Duran Hollywood High. Great doc/concert on 80's legends! 12.11 Black Panther. Great but quite emotional tributes to Chadwick Boseman. 15.12 Avatar, The Way of The Water. Better than I was expecting. 16.2 Antman, OK I was disappointed, I didn't think as good as 1 and 2. 28.3. John Wick, a 3 hour long fight scene across 3 countries with little bit of dialogue in between. Loved it! 11.5. Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. So good. 19.6 The Flash, don't miss if you love multi-versions of DC icons! 29.6 Indiana Jones, so good and so nostalgic. 2.8. Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise always delivers. 13.10 Beetlejuice, classic movie. 25.10 The Creator, worthwhile, adult sci-fi. 11.11 The Marvels. Well OK, like watching one long music video. Dips and wedges in gifted Gold Class vouchers good. 8.12 here for the classic Xmas movie - Die Hard! Note last time I was in Premium they'd stopped serving hot food and I like their nachos so tonight thought get glass of Prosecco and salt n vinegar and guess what, yes no Prosecco! Good grief Village get it together. 1.1.24 Aquaman, yes Jason Momoa you are Aquaman! 4.2. Argylle, yes good fun action spy thriller. 2.3 Dune 2, great, loved it. 29.7 Deadpool vs Wolverine. Fantastic fun. (?date) Beetlejuice 2. Really good. 8.10 The Joker. Yes and no. 24.2.25 cannot believe nearly 5 months since been to the movies! Anyway today Captain America. OK, thank you friends for GC vouchers.

I can't believe the absolute nightmare we had at this theater. After PAYING for our movie tickets and popcorn, we were denied entry by a rude employee who clearly had no idea what they were doing. We tried to reason with them, explaining that we had already paid, but they were completely unhelpful and refused to let us in. Not only were we stuck outside missing the movie we paid for, but to make matters worse, they wouldn’t even refund the overpriced popcorn we bought. So, we were left standing around with cold, tasteless popcorn and nowhere to go. Unbelievable! It’s shocking how little they care about their customers. We paid good money for this experience and were treated like we didn’t matter. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where the staff actually values their customers and follows basic policies. Never coming back.

I’m writing this based on our experience tonight in Gold Class. It is my wife’s birthday and she wanted to have myself and our two kids have our first all together experience in gold class, our son is 12 and our daughter 6 who is special needs. Her triggers are instability or unexpected changes so we have to be very structured. This is why else thought gold class would be ok due to it always being well managed. It started off ok. We were seated in the waiting area and after a very long wait asked for our order. After another long wait due to the cinema “being a mess” as we were told, we eventually got into the cinema. I did notice something strange about the commercials and previews when we were waiting, however thought. “Is what it is”. People we bit by bit getting their food, my wife and son seated in front of us got their cooked prepared meals quite quickly. My daughter and I waited for our choice of the standard movie items, popcorn, drink and choc top. She was getting restless as all others received their items and we were left unattended. The movie then started and to my dismay it was some Russian submarine film commencing. She started to lose it, as I walked her towards the door staff shot the lights on and said “sorry wrong movie!”. This just sent us into a spiral. I calmed her for as long as I could and pleaded for our simple food. It still didn’t come for 15-20minutes. After this trigger she was a ticking time bomb. Half way through the movie that was it. I had to carry her out screaming and head to the disabled toilet to calm her. We then walked around Southland until my wife and son came out. Still trying to calm multiple attacks. So thank you Gold Class Southland for wasting $300+ of my money and causing distress on our special needs child and ruining my wife’s birthday due to your inability to perform your standard process. I thought Gold Class was the best standard in cinema we’ve got. I was very wrong.

*side note edit, they started playing Oppenheimer (MA15+) which means they were playing MA15+ previews which is why they felt “off”. We went to see The Barbie Movie (PG). They may have broken a few regulations...

This was a terrible experience at Village Southland. Arrived in the queue with 10 people ahead of us at 6.25 to see a 6.50pm movie. Two people serving, one for the 2 customers in the Goldclass, internet booking etc line and I assumed one for the other queue of at least 40 full fee paying customers. No I was wrong, both were serving (as they had probably been asked to by management) prioritised the gold class queue which only ever had one person waiting at a time. At 6.45 I did question the one on our side as we still hadn’t been served and were 4th in our queue, when another person who had just walked into the gold class queue was served first. I and all the other customers were becoming very frustrated. Finally got our tickets at 6.55 only to find at the entrance they had given us incorrect tickets. With at least 10 cinemas all capable of seating 100 plus customers, two people on a Saturday evening is clearly understaffing the venue. I felt sorry for the staff who were receiving the brunt of the customers dissatisfaction. I am sure a lot of people missed the start of their movie. My friend also gave up waiting in the ice cream queue too. No wonder there were only 8 people in our cinema which was cold, dirty and smelly. I usually have a much better experience when I go to Palace or the Classic cinemas where the service for both tickets and food is fast and fair on a first come basis. We will not be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else unless you have at least an hour to spend before the movie. Take a lesson from your competitors and value all your customers. No one minds waiting if it’s...
