This little gem got some grim reviews of late due to the fact that it was empty and undergoing a massive clean up. Mostly cared for by volunteers this unique pool among the karri trees is likely to get a face lift in the next few years as parties involved our aware of the need for new or renovated toilets etc. It will also soon have a floating Sauna like the one in Lake Derby (Tasmania). Well worth a visit when full (ask the local visitor centre or the nearby caravan park if in doubt). Whether you want to take a photo or dive in. I'll put 5 stars on once the new glamorous toilets are installed (though old the existing ones are always clean in my...

The water looks a bit suss, but I'm sure the water's good. And if you discount how suspicious the water looks like, I think this is one of the prettiest swimming pools in the world. You're surrounded and sheltered by the karri trees here, and most of the times it is relatively quiet.

When I was a kid, I've always imagined that there's sort of Loch Ness monster living underneath the pool, but it gives you a bit of a thrill to be near the water. If you're not planning to go for a swim, then bring a...

Excellent place to relax. You can hire a boat or bring yours. Life jacket is a must if you ride a boat. Fishing is allowed for $10 and you can take if you catch 25 cm fish. No need to pay a dollar for the fish. The recreation center is closed at 5.00pm. The place has got a BBQ facility with toilet facility in a nearby restaurant. Good view. Good...

Follow for more ๐Ÿ‘ We can't believe this tree is still legal to climb tbh ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ but it's SO exhilarating and fun so we are glad it is. 9/100 Australia's bucketlist location: Pemberton ๐Ÿ™Œ there's so much more to do here too. Have you climbed the famous trees? There's actually more than one! Chris and I have climbed all three of them but the fear wears off after one! What hurts though, IS YOUR GLUTES the next day ๐Ÿ˜ต I was too scared the first time I visited. A lot of people are, it can take a few attempts to combat the fear. Here's our advice for combating these trees ๐ŸŒณ 1) Your safety is 100% in your control if you have four connection points at once, you won't just *suddenly slip* like your brain keeps freaking out about. All 4 wrungs aren't going to suddenly fall off at once, remember, you are in charge. 2) Don't look down. Just keep looking up at the next wrung and keep going one foot after another. 3) Take it fairly slow making sure you do have three points of contact minimum at a time. 4) Wear very grippy shoes don't attempt unless you have them. 5) Don't climb in heavy wind or if it's wet. ๐Ÿ”ฅ These trees were actually created to watch for bushfires back in the day. Other things to do in Pemberton๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ ๐Ÿ‘€ See the Karri and Jarrah forests ๐ŸŒฒ Go on the valley of the giants walk above the trees ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ Swim at Pemberton Pool ๐Ÿท Taste the local produces ๐Ÿ“ Go to the local Lavender and Berry farms ๐Ÿ’ง See Beedalup falls ๐ŸŽฃ There's popular lake fishing, day trips to 4wd surf spots and so much more! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›โค We respect the traditional owners of the Pemberton region the Bibbulmun peopleย who knew the area as Wandergarup, which in their language meant 'plenty of water'. . . . . #pemberton #pembertonwa #visitaustralia #talltrees #karritrees #jarrahtrees #southwestaustralia #australiassouthwest #greatsouthernland #treeclimbing #treeclimb #thisiswa #seewa #experiencewa #seeaustralia #australiatravels #perthisok #bucketlistexperiences

The southwest region really started our love for exploring the outdoors together ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒŠ We have always known the region was beautiful, but it wasnโ€™t until after our lap of Australia that we really realised just how incredible it is! Weโ€™d love to know what your favourite place in @australias_southwest is, let us know in the comments! Itโ€™s a tough choice but think ours might be Shelly Beach in Albany ๐Ÿค” Make sure you SAVE this post if youโ€™re planning your own Australia travels and follow @jack.and.megan for more bucket list locations! 1. Honeymoon Pools (camping & swimming) 2. Busselton Jetty (iconic views) 3. The Aquarium (snorkeling) 4. Glen Mervyn Dam (free camping) 5. Black Diamond Lake (swimming) 6.
