The food was nice and not too badly priced. However, I think the staff were a bit under-trained and there were mistakes on our orders twice.
Ordered two scones. They came out cold without the cream and jam. Also they brought two sets of scones, which it appears they charged me for even though I was clearly ordering two seperate meals for two peoke. When I told them I only ordered one set of scones, there was no refund offered or investigation. also when I asked for the cream and jam and for the scone to be heated up the waitress took it, then tried handing it back to me as I was trying to figure out if I had been overcharged. The ice chocolate was also nice, but didn't come with ice cream, which was a bit weird as the day before it did. Basically, just pretty average service.
Which was a bit strange, as the day before we went and service and everything was pretty good.
Also, both days they had no crumpets. The first day we figured they must have run out of the batter, but the second day we went early to try them and there were still none. Appears they just hadn't made any extra batter for the next day. Or maybe they don't mind week. Who knows.
Overall, not a bad place for breakfast and the food is pretty good. Just double check what you're ordering at the till with the staff and don't expect anything fantastic...
Read moreIt takes about 17 minutes to get there from the RAC Karri Valley Resort. After we were seated, the place was quite crowded. They serve breakfast and lunch. 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 is only served from 𝟖 𝐚.𝐦. 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟏.𝟑𝟎 𝐚.𝐦. daily, while 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 is served from 𝟏𝟏.𝟑𝟎 𝐚.𝐦. 𝐭𝐨 𝟐.𝟑𝟎 𝐩.𝐦. 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲. It's a nice cafe. The food was adequate. I'd still choose the eggs benny over the others. However, I believe the portion is a little small. Good for sharing so you can try a variety of foods. I like how they added a flower petal as a decoration on top of the drinks and food. It makes the food look very Instagrammable. I'd like the drinks to be served hot. It's my first time trying such a matcha latte combination. Very distinct flavour, but I'm not sure I'll get it again.
