To stand in an area that lists the names of all the Vietnam Veterans that served in the Vietnam War, and to share time standing along side of the dedicated wall with the names of those members of the Australian Defence Force that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, I felt that to be a former soldier standing amongst all these names on the walls was a very proud time today. I also acknowledge the ADF personal that served in Ubon, Thailand, which was not recognised by the Australian Government at the time of this Memorial being dedicated.It would be most appropriate and befitting that the names of those ADF personnel that did serve in Ubon, be considered to be added to the...
