Very welcoming staff at the entry & elsewhere in the venue. Entry as to be expected. Covid QR code sign-in & show evidence of vaccination. Went for lunch at Aqua Restaurant in the club. Selected the grilled barramundi with chips & salad. Nicely sized portion of barramundi with a round of herbed butter melting over it. Crispy skin, that I felt was maybe a little too crispy but the flesh was still juicy & had the typical barramundi flavour. Salad consisted of some mixed green leaves, 3 pieces of quartered tomato & 1 small piece of cucumber slice, & a lot of slices of spanish (purple) onion & a dressing that seemed to be based on some type of acid such as vinegar or lemon. The fish was served on a large portion of chips that were about 8-10 mm square. The chips were overdone in my opinion. They were crispy on the outside but while soft on the inside, they were also somewhat oily on the inside. Either the oil wasn't at the ideal temperature, or the chips were cooked too long. In my opinion they should consider opting for a thicker size, perhaps going to a 12-13mm square. Overall, the plate seemed heavily weighted towards the small mountain of chips. A higher ratio of salad to chips would have been better, & a more varied range of salad ingredients would also improve the quality of the meal. Service staff were very friendly & efficient. Cudos to all the service staff we encountered on the day for their...

We usually love going here. The staff are always so friendly. We have always enjoyed our meals so much. We last went just before Xmas last year and it was excellent. Sadly, when we went yesterday; the menu had changed. A few tried and true favourites have been removed by the new chef. This is very disappointing, but I think, if you remove items from the menu; replace them with equivalent or better choices. It is no longer possible to order a salad, except for a pumpkin and rocket salad (not everyone’s’ cup of tea) I ordered a special of the day entree for my meal and a side of steamed veges. Both were disappointing. The special was a salmon rissole, which must have had the salmon waved over it. It was tasteless and overcooked. The veges were plain awful. They reminded me of mass produced food. We were a group of four, all regulars and no one was very happy with their food. The place was near empty due to the weather, so it wasn’t a case of being rushed. All in all; very poor standard of food, but the usual polite, friendly and efficient service. We will try again, but we all think the new chef needs to revisit the menu options and the standard...

Amazing experience from start to finish. We were visiting from Strathfield, Sydney with our 2 sons aged 11yrs & 6yrs. We started with a drink ( wait staff friendly and cheerful) before heading to the restaurant Aqua to eat. Wow! Chic atmosphere with a sense of luxury and sensational view . But these people don’t just rely on views and atmosphere. They maintain that chic with Fabulous food and great prices . They definitely put the local bowling club to shame ( save your time and dollars there. They are an overpriced , poor excuse for culinary experience) Our 6yr old is Type 1 diabetic & Coeliac so to have kitchen and wait staff completely across coeliac and cross contamination and without a blink of an eye more than happy to advise what was safe for coeliac and even give me carb details for diabetes insulin matching goes above and beyond. An absolute jewel in the crown. Highly...

in a few words ..Great meals. Great view. a bit more information... The Shelley Beach Golf Club is an absolute gem on the coast. This place is a golfer's paradise. The course is meticulously maintained, with lush greens and breathtaking ocean views around every corner. The staff is friendly, and the clubhouse offers fantastic food and drinks to enjoy after a great round. The coastal setting creates a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal escape from the city hustle. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a beginner, you'll find the course challenging and enjoyable. It's an unforgettable golfing experience, and most golfers can't wait to return for more rounds at this coastal golf haven. While I do not play golf myself, when just listening to the conversations about the course when in the clubhouse, anyone can get a good idea of what the golfers think about the course.

My first time at Shelly Beach Golf Club and definitely will not be my last. The food was absolutely incredible - all cooked to perfection, the seafood platter and lobster mornay was amazing and so fresh! The view is incredible (even though it rained heavy all day, we still had a gorgeous view of the golf course and ocean). The staff were so friendly, talked to us like we had been guests of the Club for years and were so attentive, clearing glasses and empty plates to make room on our table. We celebrated two birthdays early as my sister was visiting from overseas and our day could not have been any better. THANK YOU :)

Lunch with a friend of 30 years at Aqua Restaurant, in the golf club. Service excellent. Food extra delicious - we chose a number of different seafood entrees and main which we shared. We chatted, had a little wine, ate a little, chatted, ate and sipped a little more, chatted again. It was an escape from from the reality of life. Oh, and the view... I had requested a table by the window if possible. We sat at the centre of the window, overlooking the golf course and golfers, across to the Norfolk Pines along the edge of brilliantly blue Shelly Beach. It was a perfect 2 hours. Did I mention we talked a bit!
