Food: Our food was amazing!!! Highly recommend! I had the breakfast bowl which came with sweet potato, wilted spinach topped with a poached egg, basil pesto and slivered almonds - it was delicious! My partner had a freshly squeezed juice of the day and the vego smart start which came with poached eggs, field mushrooms, slow roasted tomato, zucchini, haloumi and asparagus fritters, wilted baby spinach & relish served with soy linseed sourdough. Also incredible!

Price: My meal was $14.90 and his was $18.00 and $7.00 for the juice, so very reasonable for the meal and location.

Service: The service was outstanding! I drink a coffee alternative which comes in a sachet, I wasn't sure if they would be willing but we asked if they would mine providing me with a mug of hot water so I could use it and they did without questions! I feel like a lot of places would be annoyed because I wasn't buying their coffee, but they didn't mind at all! This alone makes me want to go back, I really appreciated it! Not to mention the food came super quickly on a busy Saturday morning so I was really impressed.

Location: This cafe is located right on Shelly Beach, attached to the surf club. It is a beautiful spot with plenty of free parking. Majority of the seating is not under cover though so you wouldn't really be able to dine in if it was...

The lady who served me was totally rude. I have a few food allergies (which some places find an inconvenience). Knowing this, I nicely conversed with her about it. At one point she completely ignored what I said, and was staring off into space as I was talking. I stopped talking, and stared at her, which prompeted her to actually make eye contact again and ask me to repeat myself. I did and she completed the order. I had no real confidence I would get the right order as it wasn't repeated back to me.

On top of that, I waited for a while for my takeaway meal. They weren't super busy and I was not informed they had to start over - hence the reason I was waiting so long. I had to go up to the counter and stand there, in front of two workers (who were doing nothing, and were not approachable due to being distracted). They said nothing to me for a while. One eventually addressed me, and let me know what happened.

I am pregnant, so moving and standing around is difficult at the moment. A lot could be fixed with clearer, respectful communication.

The food was ok, a bit bland because they had to leave the sauce out (no offer for an alternative dressing, which most eateries will offer). There was no salt or seasoning otherwise. Overall, a...

Munchas Café is located on the ground floor of Shelly Beach Surf Club. It is open seven days per week throughout the year, closing only on Christmas Day, Good Friday, and Anzac Day. The café provides friendly and relaxed service, so customers can enjoy the beautiful, surrounding areas. They provide a range of eat-in breakfast and lunch meals with breakfast running from 6:30am through to 11:30am and lunch from 11:30am - 3pm. Their take away Kiosk provides a fast service for those who want to enjoy their food on the run or casually on the beach, and this operates all day.

The cafe has a great location right next to the beach, which makes it perfect for a quick bite after a swim or surf. The food is delicious and well-priced, with plenty of options to choose from. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful views.

Overall, I would highly recommend Munchas Cafe and Catering if you’re looking for a great cafe...

Great little beachside cafe. 👍🏻 coffee : great ( one of the best around, full bodied rich and well made, with foam last all the way to the bottom of the cup ⭐️ coffee ☕️ ) service and staff : friendly and welcoming fast and efficient even in peak periods. food : could improve dramatically, I’ve tried 3 breakfast items so far and wasn’t happy with and didn’t finish 2 of them. The scrambled eggs are microwaved which is beyond my comprehension as to why. The avocado is from a tube .. again I don’t understand as to why. If only they made things fresh 🤷‍♀️ I won’t be trying any other food items from here but will continue to come for the coffee, the view, and because my pup loves it here. Dog friendly: treats milk chicken water etc available. Very happy 🐶 View and atmosphere : absolutely spectacular / ocean views Seating: plenty of seating with shading / umbrellas provided Cost : low to medium Parking : plentiful but occasionally have to wait for a spot in peak periods. Beach from cafe : 20mts Parking from cafe 5mtrs -200mtrs

Mixed bag of a cafe. Evidently a great location, but it is not utilised as well as it could be. The tables were limited, and metal; a lot of which were placed in the hot sun. On a hot day, these get so hot, and absolutely kill. As for the menu, there are some good options, with burgers being the best and cheapest choice. Be careful to seek out a hidden menu (the sides menu) which contains many items that are far cheaper and basically inherit the same portion size. Service was good, but not necessarily noteworthy. The use of plastic straws is particularly depressing, considering so many other local cafes have taken great steps in their removal/replacement. Chips unfortunately, were quite terrible; being all shell and no potato. The burgers really saved our experience, as they were quite exceptional for the price. If you're in the area, and looking for a great beachside cafe, it might be worth the extra 3 minute drive to Toowoon Bay, for a slightly better menu and experience.
