Very dangerous. All went well 2 adults 2 kids. Except for when I asked to take a blue mat on the top slide which the operator provided. The blue mat went so fast around the two corners that twice my torso and head were flung back and smashed into the slide twice. I suffered concussion and severe whiplash that has still not recovered. I had my 4 year old son between my legs and trying to keep him safe whilst I was in server pain was challenging. I managed to stop my wife and other some going down once I got to the bottom of the pool and prevented them from being injured. No prior warning was provided in the safety briefing regarding the potential danger and any risk minimisation control measures. Theirs is a sign above the pay counter that a family member alerted me to once we got home but as the sign says a 10mm mat would do nothing to minimise the sever whiplash I have. This occurred on the first day of our trip so unfortunately I was sore and irritable for the remainder of our coast trip. Other than that we had a good time, the kids loved it. Just be warned, potentially very dangerous.

So much fun! Great way to spend an hour or two (we did an hour, but could have kept going a bit longer). Kids (10 & 13) and adults (late 40s) all had a great time. Yes, it is rustic and can be fast and rough, but you can choose your own adventure. If you want to go slow, wear shorts and sit up. I went so slow on my first run that I actually stopped. If you like a bit more of a thrill, get a mat, lay down or do both. I learnt to hold my arms in at the exits to avoid elbow knocks. We did all get a few bruises but nothing life changing. The owner was lovely and we had a nice chat. All the staff (3) we interacted with were polite and friendly. If I lived locally this would be a great place for a kids party. There was plenty of shade for spectators. I look forward to going again.

For what it is it’s a bit pricey. One slide, one hour, $25. Half of that price I would say is reasonable for what it is. If you go come prepared and get changed elsewhere, the hour starts pretty much when you walk in. Lots of kids run to the half way slide and block it up so anyone coming from the top gets stuck. No one is making them wait a turn at that point. It super hot there and not much shade. Kids will have fun so it’s a win from that point but it’s overpriced

It’s rare to find such a classic vintage water slide like this. Built before engineering, Hollywood and litigation made everything else so ‘safe and cheesy’. Our family went for an hour and just managed to tire out our adventurous three year old. The owners were friendly and helpful despite coming across a bit stern at first. They have lots of rules in place and do a good job of making sure people understand them. Many of these reviews refer to the lady as ‘rude’ but she probably needs to maintain a disciplinary attitude to maintain control of situations that could easily get out of hand. By that I mean that the slide is over 40 years old, built before plastics and fiberglass technology, so it’s a hard surface that is unforgiving if you knock it hard. However, that makes it super exciting and indeed lives up to the name of ‘thrill hill’. My toddler is very active and fearless so he loved it but I wouldnt recommend for more placid infants. We loved it and would return for sure, despite our minor bruises and bumps. Places like this are super rare, most lost to the gentrification and litigation of our society. Reminds me of my childhood, can’t believe I...

Thankfully didn’t travel far to this place, because it was a complete disappointment. Would give zero stars if I could. Was met by a very rude middle aged woman with a horrendous attitude, (who refused to tell me her name) chastising my 10 year old son about checking in. I was in the changing room at the time he approached the counter. When I got to him he was close to tears. I asked her what her problem was, then started carrying on that my 70 year old mother who is currently undergoing chemotherapy would have to sit in the car (34 degree day) or pay a $2.50 “amenities fee.” Considering the entry fee for 30 minutes was $45 and she did not use any amenities I think it his is obscene. Besides that the water was dirty and brown. The place smelled like urine and had very little shade. I am amazed they are still operating, seems like an accident waiting to happen. Take your money elsewhere and avoid at all costs, that horrible woman ruined our day and surely needs to retire and go sit in a dark room where she doesn’t have to encounter any people, particularly children. Looking forward to this venue closing their...
