Grounded is appropriately named. Perhaps part of its ethos is that it is a bit 'rough and ready'. I don't say this as a criticism, rather, if you are expecting a modern, 'clean lines', neat kind of place, this is not it! It is in a ramshackle- like older house and you walk through the 'kitchen' to get to the back eating area. It's more like someone's backyard than a cafe. They do say on their website 'Don't judge this little wonder by its cover.' But, premises aside, the food is very good and (most of) the staff are very friendly. I had the Filipino inspired pork belly salad - crispy on the outside and tender inside with a tasty Asian fusion salad - delicious. My wife had the pulled pork nachos that came with corn chips and a salad that was also delicious. Two healthy exotic mixed juices accompanied the meals. There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options and they make an excellent coffee or hot chocolate too. Prices are reasonable. Woombye is a nice town to visit and Grounded is definitely worth a visit for breakfast or lunch.

Our second time for breakfast with Grounded was very disappointing. Waited an hour and a half to be served our food, with multiple other tables, who arrived after us, receiving their food before ours. The very young staff could see what was happening but did nothing? Apparently the normal ordering system was down due to a 'break in' but that doesn't excuse below average food quality. My 80yo dads Kimchi pancake was like a piece of petrified and incinerated leather (pictured), he struggled to cut it with the cutlery provided and ended up eating it with his fingers like a toasted sandwich! The eggs bene came with cold bacon and over fried hash browns...not very appetising and definitely not worth the wait. A simple solution to the ordering mishap is to time stamp your orders, yes this can still be done with a pen, when the normal system is down. The second star is for the coffee, which was nice. Sorry for Grounded but this was my experience and we won't be back.

I recently visited this spot and had an absolutely delightful time! I started with a perfect mocha that was rich and perfectly brewed. Then, I enjoyed Turkish Eggs with fresh bread, which was not only delicious but also full of flavor. The hydro fresh juice was simply out of this world — so refreshing and packed with natural goodness. The taste of the food was exceptional, and each bite was a treat! What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. It was vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The service was incredibly quick, and the staff was friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and excellent service!

Haven't been here for a while, food still great. Sat in lounge area and sorry to say this place needs a deep clean. Rug by reception and in lounge looks like it hasn't seen vacume cleaner in years. Cushions and couch covers look dirty ( theirs boho chic and just out right grubby). Floor boards are old but I question when they last saw a mop. Black built up dust on top fans. They open doors into other rooms, ones an office that again is just a mess. Welcome mat out the front just torn up pieces. Paint chips throughout. I'm sorry but I can notice all that over a coffee then it shows lack of love is seriously missing here. This is no one's fault but the owners or managers wouldn't come back which is a shame, but other choices are just much...
