Absolutely appalling, had a function there last night spent a massive amount of money and we had staff that were not helpful and closed the pub at 1130 with no courtesy buses for 30 people and were guaranteed a bus. We were left in the dark and people fell getting home with open wounds. I am a local and I will never have a beer at this pub again or go to the Friday raffle. Do not recommend for any function as staff will not get back to you via email and not accommodate your party
Thankyou for your reply however I would like a phone call regarding this matter as I have not had any calls from your staff after or before the event and disagree with the emails you believe you sent. I had to contact your function manager several times about the menu with no reply, I walked into the pub on Monday prior and spoke to the manager asking for the bill so I could pay. I have a photo of the bill which was $600 over the actual price. I asked for an email of an updated bill it never arrived. We took the cake in on Saturday and the staff were angry that they had to put it in fridge. We went to decorate pub with over $500 dollars of decorations and then your staff wanted to move us to to other side of the pub away from our decorations. This is when the patrons became upset with your staff. Buses now were also stopping. This was 9pm. It was decided 1130 would be the time to close but now heaters were turned off. The lights outside the pub at the end of the night were turned off and your staff left us all there in the dark. We have 20 people to witness this. We called the taxi and Ubers that did not arrive. and most of us had to walk home. disappointment is an understatement while we were only trying to support the locals. The function manager was rude and everybody was disappointed in her attitude. People were even trying to move the function to palmwoods half way...
Read moreI recently attended a friends 50th here and what a disappointment for everyone. What should have been a fun time was initially spoiled by the surly abrupt staff (excluding the young man behind the bar who was the only staff who offered a smile) and attitudes did not improve as the night went on. My friend went to a lot of time and expense to decorate the function area, only to be told we needed to move to the front bar area at 9.30. There were 50-60 people there! Buying drinks!!! After much negotiation with the Manger this didn’t happen. Why should this have been an issue in the first place? When you book a venue for a party it is a reasonable expectation that you would not have to pack everything up half way into it and move to a another room. There was expectations of a curtesy bus (friends holding party were told at initial booking) that could drop us home at closing. Last courtesy bus was announced at 9.30. At the end of the night we were quickly ushered out of the premises and left to rely on taxis and Ubers - that never arrived and leaving a bunch of us women stranded. The pubs lights were all turned off before we even had a chance to discuss options on getting home and we’re left to walk home in poorly lit streets. (There were injuries sustained from a bad fall). I have worked in the hospitality industry for years and I am disgusted at the treatment of us as guests. If you’re having a bad day leave it at home or have a little think about if this is the right industry for you to...
Read moreHad a meal here tonight with my 2 kids and mum and friend. My youngest is a coeliac and we ordered a gluten free kids burger. I enquired about whether the chips were safe and I was told they were not, so we ordered a burger with no chips. It was a busy Friday night, and quite loud so it was difficult to have a conversation around the table. We waited a good 40min for our food, and when it finally arrived, the GF burger had chips. I asked again if they were GF and the waitress said she would check, and if not, they would re-make the meal, and she took it away. The rest of us tried to wait for the new burger to arrive, but after 5-10min, our food started to get cold so we had to eat it while my 9yo had nothing. I had expected they would re-make the meal straight away when they had made the mistake of putting chips with it, but her meal seems to have been put at the back of the queue again. After a while, I asked for the meal and mentioned it again when they came to clear our table, each time we were told they would look into it and it would be there "soon". In the end, it took a full half hour before her replacement burger finally arrived. By that time everyone else had finished eating and my daughter was starving and embarrassed. I really hope the burger was properly gluten free in the end, but eitger way, it was not a pleasant night out, and there was very little care shown for a 9yo who had to wait over an hour for a simple burger while watching the rest of her family eat. We...
