Update on 19.12.2022. I had a blast, talking to fellow travellers, trying the food, coffee and the famous kiwtini. Loved it! Loved the service. Here's why;

Service; The service within the Sydney Air New Zealand lounge is world-class friendly and is the key reason why NZ continues to sit at the top of their game in airline travel and in the club lounge space. Coffee/drinks; They had a good selection of both coffee and tea and also a machine for those that loved a machine made cappuccino. The Bar was well stocked with well-know kiwi favourites like Steinlager and Stella Artois beers, top-shelf, ciders, Villa Maria nz sauvignon blancs from the Marlborough region, and and ok bottle of bubbles. The stand-out points… the full time bartender in the club lounge that can mix up a mean cocktail or mocktail… this is a standout characteristic of the kiwi lounges. Vibe; The décor within is chilled and modern, my timing made all the difference, when I went in the lounge it was not overly crowded and there were seats available everywhere. Welcoming and friendly feel to the place, with a good mix of both business and holidayers in the lounge. Good wi-fi for any last minute social media postings to brag… Food; There was a large selection of hot and cold food available (4pm). Usual things like cheese crackers, gluten free muffins, sweets, fruit, soup of the day and a hot food selection (3 choices, curry, casserole and the chef making the fresh quaesadillas) were their standout points. Signature foods/point of difference; Around 4pm when I entered the lounge, they had a chef in the small food buffet area making vegetarian and chicken quesadillas, this was a great point of difference compared to other lounges I have used, a full-time mixologist/bartender that could mix up a good non-alcoholic cocktail or an alcoholic cocktail. Oh – and if that dosen’t satisfy the fussy -From the lounge, you can see your plane parked on the tarmac and its only a 5 minute walk to the plane. Cleanliness; On the occasion where I entered the business class lounge – It was not busy, the tables and food areas looked clean. I also checked out the showers and they were neat and clean, with nice soaps and shower gels and rainwater showers, towels in good supply. My only remark was that the glass was not sparkling and spotless-a minor point however. Based on all of the above points – I give this lounge a very definite 5 out of 5. I will be back...

Nestled within Sydney International Airport, the Air New Zealand lounge unfolds with expansive dimensions, generously accommodating a plethora of seating options for patrons. A standout feature is the panoramic view it offers, providing guests with a captivating vantage point to observe the dynamic activities unfolding on the airport runway. The inclusion of a well-appointed bar table and an extensive selection of beverages adds an element of sophistication, elevating the overall ambiance of the lounge.

Beyond the allure of aviation views and refined settings, the lounge caters to diverse needs, featuring a child play area for families traveling with young ones. This thoughtful inclusion enhances the lounge's appeal as a family-friendly space, ensuring a comfortable experience for travelers of all ages.

While the lounge's seating capacity and beverage offerings are commendable, an afternoon visit may reveal a somewhat limited array of hot food options, potentially impacting the dining experience. Despite this, the overall atmosphere remains pleasant and inviting. The Air New Zealand lounge effectively balances style and substance, successfully providing a haven for travelers to unwind and relax before embarking on...

The Air New Zealand lounge at Sydney International Airport truly represents some of the best in the world of elevated travel. The food is consistently fresh and varied, thoughtfully catering to vegan and vegetarian dietary sensitivities – a welcome touch. The beverage selection is equally impressive, offering a wide array of non-alcoholic options, alongside some of New Zealand's finest wines, including excellent white, red, and sparkling varieties. We truly look forward to returning here.

The lounge is constantly being cleaned, and the toilets and showers are sparkling, reflecting a commitment to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and comfort. There's ample seating available, even before international flights, ensuring a relaxing and comfortable experience.
