Beautifully maintained by Inner West Council, this iconic Park lies on the Haberfield/Ashfield boundary on the very busy Parramatta Rd. Many city bound commuters will be familiar with the floral arrangement pruned legibly into large letters spelling out "Ashfield Park". The park is set back from the busy road & is just ten minutes from Sydney CBD.

This huge park boasts expansive lush green parkland accentuated by sky high mature trees, plants & brightly coloured flowers dotted along the impeccably manicured bushy displays.

The park is sectioned several functional areas including a large soccer field, modern children's playground with big undercover area & BBQ facilities. Several adult fitness equipment stations are plotted along the running track for cardio activity, with strength & conditioning & meditation.

The parks heritage is acknowledged in the wonderful solid statues immortalising some significant local personalities one of whom was the author of Mary Poppins.

Ashfield Bowling Club is also located within the park. This establishment offers food & beverage service in the bar & bistro and the ever popular game of bowls can be played on the green either socially or competitively with barefoot bowls increasingly appealing to...

Many mentions about the bbq area. But have you actually tried to use it? The barbecue closest to the footpath has a vile stench now for 2 years. We have used this barbecue multiple times putting up with the stench (as the seating area is really convenient amd the park space is beautiful) but the last time the stench was just too much and we packed and left. The lack of cleaning of the oil tub beneath the grill is what seems to be causing the stench. It also causes the area around the bbq to be slippery at times due to the lard-like substance that gets out under the little door. A call to council over a year ago obviously made no difference. Photos are too off-putting to post here.

Would love to give this park 5 stars. The park is gorgeous with good amenities. A beautiful huge...

It is a picturesque and well maintained public park. Its size is quite massive for a park that is situated in the Inner West region of Sydney. Ashfield Park boasts features that can be utilised by the public such as a football/soccer field, several picnic cottages with nearby barbecue areas, plenty of surrounding trees and various types of plants in resting areas and an outdoor gym to name a few. The park is easily accessible to the public, with designated bus stops right at its doorstep and right next to the main busy highway leading from the CBD to the western suburbs of Sydney. Alternatively, Ashfield Station is only about a good 10 minute walk to this...

Ashfield Park is a fantastic place to bring the family on a sunny weekend. There is a well-kept football/rugby pitch, plenty of seating, lovely shade trees, barbecue facilities and playground equipment. I particularly like the balance of open and secluded spaces in the park, and I have to admit, when the sun is out, it really makes your heart sing to be there. I am also a huge fan of reserves which feature bodyweight-based fitness equipment that is free for the public to use. This is a lovely park, and if you live in the area, I recommend visiting it if you haven't already.

Went to this park for a morning walk/run. It was nice and the park had beautiful palm trees. It's peaceful and has tranquil setting depending on where you are. Nice to have a greenspace among the busy city of Ashfield. MacDonald's is opposite the road and there's plenty of wildlife such as pigeons, rainbows and galas if you come at the right time. There's a variety of statues and monuments and a nice sized kids play area. At least three clean exercise areas that could do with a bit more. Love this local park, will be coming again.

An expansive park with plenty to keep kids busy. The only downside is the proximity to busy Parramatta Rd. But away from the road you don’t notice it. There is a large playground, a couple of exercise areas. There are clean toilets, free BBQs and a number of drinking fountains. See if you can find the Mary Poppins statue and work out why it is there. There is war memorial, a Philippines memorial and a language memorial. Look out for the Rainbow Serpent totem.
